Try a Heating Buddy. At least to minimize the pain. Mine feels good. Just heat it in the microwave, and you'll get good, pentrating heat.

Thanks Sarah.

John still isn't well today. He woke up feeling unwell on Monday morning, and despite feeling a bit better yesterday, he's had a relapse. He does voluntary work during the week, but he's had to take some time off as he just wouldn't be able to do it. Especially seeing as 3 out of 4 days he's dealing with food.

I've started knitting scarves again. I've got a pile of yarn sitting here doing nothing from when I went through a scarf making phase. I figure rather than let it just sit there, I'd knit up scarves from it, and give them to the school chaplains in our church, and they can give them to people who need them. Otherwise the yarn gets wasted. I won't be able to make too many before our winter is over, but I can keep knitting and stockpile it for next winter. I'm sure there'll still be need for scarves. If the school chaplains can't use them, I'll find somebody who can make use out of them.

Thanks Deb. I've never heard of a Heating Buddy.

Hi Diane!

The Knitting sound like a good idea. A homemade scarf in a nice gift.

Yes, they're easy to make, you don't need a heap of equipment and they keep you nice and warm.

Trish, tell your neck to come back in! It has no business being out this late!

I wish I could, Denny. It seems to be having too much fun partying out in the cold.

..... I was trying to think about what you may have around the house to help with your neck pain...

You could heat up a wet towel in the microwave, too.... Be very careful when you take it out... figuring out the exact time is trial and error at first...

Put it around (on) your neck.... and then put a dry towel on top to help hold in the heat....

I've got some hot water bottles. John's using the wheat bag on his shoulder, so unless I get another one... A hot water bottle is a bit cumbersome to have around your neck though.

Didn't make it to the gym again today. John went to get me some strong, over the counter painkillers as I was just about screaming in pain in my back. Poor John and Joan didn't know what to do with me when I just sat there and burst into tears. Seems to be a regular occurrence with me these days. Just under 3 weeks until I see the rheumatologist. Once I get a diagnosis, they can give me meds that will work, but for now, I can only take panadeine, which doesn't even touch the sides of the pain. The physiologist is looking forward to me being diagnosed and given some pain meds so that I can get to the gym more often and start strengthening my muscles etc.

Hi everybody. How are you doing? What have you got planned for the weekend?

Me? I'm not doing anything at this stage. My body is telling that it needs rest, so I'm having to do that.

I hope you all have a good day.

Thanks Rach. Yeah, I'm excited that I've finally got an appointment. Now hopefully they'll be able to do something. That'd be good.

I have never had a Doctor not take me seriously. And I am happy about that.

Yep, I'm serious.

On that note, I seriously need to get some sleep. I'll talk to you all later.

Had a relatively busy day today. Not as busy as other people's days, but it got me out of the house and moving.

John's been trying to find himself a jacket/parka. Whenever he goes clothes shopping etc, he likes to take me along because he reckons I'm a ferret. I ferret out whatever he's looking for. He can never seem to find things, but I seem to be able to. Did some grocery shopping, then had lunch out. Had a bit more shopping to do before it we had to come home.

It's the early hours of Tuesday here. I've got the gym later on today. Hopefully I'll be able to do a decent amount of the exercises.

Hey Denny.

I went to the gym, but didn't get much done. I started feeling unwell there. Oh well, I'll try again on Thursday.

How's everybody doing?

Yes, basically, but on the other hand, and certainly not to mention.

I thought we weren't mentioning?

I'm freezing! Just been outside feeding Bailey. It's so cold out there!

Dinner's almost ready.
