ORIGINAL: KingsmenQt.Fan What are your predictions for the "Good Good God" CD. I fully believe it is right up there along with the other new releases. I have been hearing alot about Gold City's new cd "Revival" and I think that these two cds will win alot of awards. Which do you think is better??????????? I just got both. I hesitate to say one is "better" than the other, because I feel they're both GREAT!! "Revival" is definitely a little more country and a little more contemporary than any other of GC's recordings but I was still pleased with the overall result. No, GC will never sound like they did with Jay Parrack and Tim Riley, but that's life! GC is doing a great job of taking the new guys they have and developing their own sound, and I like it. [:)] "Good Good God" is somewhat similar to "Revival" in that it is a ground-breaking release for the group. Like GC, the Kingsmen are attempting to redefine who the "Kingsmen" really are. They've had many changes since the days of Jim Hammill, but they're also taking Jeremy and Tony Peace, and the others and finding a somewhat new sound. In the case of the Kingsmen, I think "Good Good God" is probably THE best recording the group has done as the "Kingsmen" since I've started following them. It is a FABULOUS cd and hopefully an indication of what they'll sound like in the future. Both cds are wonderful, both cds are ground-breakers, and both groups are finally getting their feet on solid ground. [;)]
