Received Vol. 1 of King's Gold today. Vol. 2 will be shipped later. There was a delay in the shipment of the DVDs. Am currently watching it. Selections include: Everybody Will Be Happy, Under Control, I'm Winging My Way Back, Just A Little Talk With Jesus, Learning To Lean (Medley), Glory Road, Amazing Grace (featuring Lulu Roman), How Great Thou Art and I've Got That Old Time Religion In My Heart. All songs are under the direction of the great BIG JIM HAMILL.
GREAT DVD made back in the early 90's and recently re-released. It was recorded in Atlanta, Georgia (actually Marietta, GA) Mt. Paran North Church.

GOLD CITY: Tim Riley, Ivan Parker, Mike LeFerve, Brian Free, Garry Jones, Doug Riley.
KINGSMEN: Ray Dean Reese, Gary Shephard, Parker Jonathan, Tim Surrent, Jim Hamill, Anthony Burger, Greg Fox.

I just got the KingsGold I and II DVD's and I don't know all of the singers. I recognize Ray Dean and Tim Surrett but I don't know the tenor and baritone. Can someone who has those videos post and tell me who they are?

Check out post 1179. I listed the singers in it. You'll know all of them just don't recognize who they are.

Thanks, Bobby - didn't see it!! Is Gary Shepherd the tenor? On the second DVD, was it Steve Lacey singing baritone for Gold City?

Garry Shepard is tenor... We still haven't received Vol. 2. Mike LeFerve with GC was the one that was hard for us to recognize. Others were familiar, didn't look guite the same as we know them today, especially Brian with his dark rim glasses.

Yep. I didn't care for Brian's glasses!! In the second one he doesn't have glasses on. I recognized Mike but he does look quite young in the first video. It's not him in the second video.

At the end of Vol 1 in the trailer they had a list of all the singers and musicians and where it was filmed.

I'll go back and watch it again. I had it on while I was doing other things. I was surprised when Big Jim never introduced any of them.

I know some of you people are only seeing this video for the first time. That's amazing, cause i bought the video when it was first released in 92.

But it is so good to have it on DVD now!

Hey guys,
I found a short video clip of the Kingsmen's 50th Anniversary Reunion Concert on Youtube. The song is "Child, Child" with Ernie Phillips on tenor, Ed Crawford on lead, Wayne Maynard on baritone, and Ray Dean Reese on bass.

Having been there, this is a pretty good video (audio wise). Wayne and Ernie are 2 of the guys from the past that still have Killer voices. Wayne and Ernie both traveled occasionally with the K'Men while I drove for them. Ernie works at the same VA hospital where my wife does so I see him quite often. Wayne and I talk at least 1-2 times a month as well. BTW it is Wayne's son Kenyon playing the steel quitar
