I just have to decide which thread. It would get lost in the palaver thread..... How about in my GOOD NEWS thread?

Sounds good.

Congrats on the new house! Now you just need a husband to mow the lawn and clean out the gutters!

Very tempting! Especially for someone that lives so close to concerts!

I am sooo bad! I didn't post this last post from Debbie!! My apologies! Here it is:

May 27, 2008

Whirlwinds

A whirlwind.....sometimes we all feel like that's what we are caught up in. Mostly they are busy times of our own choosing, our own not knowing how to say "no" or prioritize. I certainly am guilty of that at times. Right now, my whirlwind is of my own choosing, but I am enjoying every breeze that is in it!

Tina, you're NOT as bad as you think! You DID post it! See #1519!

Ok, I KNOW I got this one!

June 08, 2008

Another Year Older

I have been keeping very busy with volunteer trips lately. I keep "picking up" new ones, and have been averaging one every week. I am not sure what makes the summer so busy for bone marrow transplants, but there are a lot of people out there who need help and prayers. It is my great pleasure and privilege to be able to be one of the many who are used in this way. As a "bonus", I have now done enough domestic trips that I can be put on the international list. That should be very interesting!

I had a birthday on Friday......one which I was reluctant to see come (aren't they all, anymore?). I turned 47 (isn't a lady supposed to keep her age a secret?), and I confess this one was a mental hurdle for me. When I hear that number, all I can think of is that is the age my Roger was last.....well, technically, he had turned 48 one week before he died, but we never really "knew" him as 48. He will probably always be 47 in my mind. So, it makes me wonder if I will have this on my mind for an entire year.....and then, what will 48 bring? I am sure that with God's help, I will get used to it, and be able to deal with it, just as He has brought me through so many other obstacles.

I have the last birthday card Roger gave me. When I ran across it earlier this year, it was like he had written it specifically for a time when I would read it after his departure. He always gave me a funny card, then a serious one. Just like him. He wrote in the serious one, though, among other things, that he wished for my happiness and contentment always. I am sure that God uses these little things to speak to us at the point of our need. There are days when I feel so all alone and helpless, and then I get a gift like that, when I know that Roger would want me to keep moving forward, to find the happiness that I know God wants for me as well. Even when things don't go exactly as WE had planned, GOD has not forgotten us, and His plan will work for our good, as He promised us in Romans 8:28. It's that "patience" thing I have to work on myself!

I hope this summer brings great joy to each of you, my dear friends. I will keep busy with volunteer work, visiting family and friends, my 30th (!!!!!) high school reunion, a mission trip to Poland, and, of course, all of those things that must be done around the house in Tennessee. Keep praying for that book!

Thank you for all of your cards, and comments on this site. I check often for a word from you, too! Until next time, I am snugly

In His Grip,

Debbie

NEWS FROM HAWAII!

As you all may know, L5 is cruising around Hawaii right now. Well, yesterday, Scott Howard had an emergency appendectomy. He's doing fine and they hope that he will be able to return to the mainland with the rest of the group Saturday night. Keep him in your prayers.

Hey guys I am new to the forums but not new to L5 I have loved their music since their very first CD and followed them ever since. I love the lineup they have right now and hope it stays that way for a good while.

Their new CD is great I really think that their are a couple of songs on there that have a chance to put up for nomination next year as song of the year. My favorite is "What Faith Does" this song really speaks to my heart in a real way as it should everyone.
I also really like "Hello After Goodbye" very good song written in memory of Roger. Here is my Breakdown of the singers I am Biased.lol

Scott Fowler: I believe he is one of the best lead singers today I really liked him when he sang with the Cathedrals as well.

Frank Seamans: I think Frank is a very solid Tenor with a nice medium range and good strong voice that I like in a Tenor. I also love his Testimony great personality too.

Scott Howard: He has really grown on me over the past few years good solid Baritone.

Glenn Dustin: WOW what can I say he is currently one of the best in SOGO and for good reason he is just an amazing singer and a really good bass. Alot of times you hear good basses that maybe cannot sing that well what I mean is quality. Glenn has it all, He is my favorite bass in SOGO along with Eric Bennent and Dave Hester.
That is company to be in if you ask me I also like Tim Duncan but he might just be a bit too flashy for me.

Overall L5 is just my favorite group period. Along with BB of course lol. sorry for my rambling and those read all of this God Bless You. LOL

I have been wondering the same thing. I imagine we will hear more at concerts. I am sure he will be back on the road within a couple weeks. He should heal more quickly since they did a Laparoscopic procedure. (better look that up too tina! lol) I just thank God it didn't burst!

Welcome, L5BBfan! Glad to have you with us! Lots of nuts around here, but I am sure you will get used to us.

Having an appendectomy now is nothing like it used to be. My son had one when he was 6 years old (1995) and he has a nice little scar because they were still doing the traditional type of appendectomy then. My last girlfriend had one in 2004 and all she ended up with was four little tiny puncture wounds. She was up and around and back to her usual self in less than a week.
