The concert with the "No Name Group" was fabulous last night!!! Well worth the trip. I'll try to post more later and I'll try to get at least one video up before we leave for Scotty's wedding . . . but if I can't, I'll post tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Trying to unwind. We really had a very great concert tonight with Driven and Danny Funderburk. Driven opened the program singing several (didn't keep count) songs when they had finished Jason introduced his Dad Danny who then came on and song his little heart out. Following the break Driven came back and sang one song then Danny joined the group (I may not have all the titles correct) singing His Boundless, Love, I've Just Started Living, I Want To Thank Jesus, Somebody Touched Me, Working On A Building, and Look for Me. The crowd wasn't ready for them to stop so they sang three or four more. You will notice some of the old Cathedral Songs that they sang. Again What A Great Evening.

The Mull concert tonight was fabulous. Don't have enough time right now to post much but when Gerald was telling about Jason leaving later this summer, Jason got a standing ovation. Very touching. Will post more later.

Driven was excellent and I really enjoyed seeing Danny in concert. I had only seen him at one of the "Cathedrals Remembered" concerts. It was a very "personal" concert and it seemed that both Driven and Danny were in sync with the audience. There were many very touching moments during the evening, and if they had sung all night the audience would not have had enough! Great Evening!

Mull Concert: Crist Family impress me more each time I see them. 7 singers, all family except the Bass singer. And the way they switch off singing with different people, I don't see how they remember who is singing when. And Mrs. Lisa is a lurker here on the forums. Brian Free and Assurance did great. First time to see them with Jeremy singing Bass. Mark Trammell did as expected. GREAT. Mark sang "How Great Thou Art". Beautiful. Eric continues to impress and Dustin really goes well with the group. Known him for years. And he sounds better than ever. Greater Vision. What can be said about them that has not been said before. Just always top notch performance. They will surely miss Jason but they God is in the move. And Gerald sang a song that Mrs. Mull asked him to sing and did not miss a note as this was a Dottie rambo song they uusally do not sing. A great night and possibly will be the same lineup next year. Not sure of date. Hats off to Doug and the Mull's for a great night.

Nobody could have known what would happen overnight, but knowing what we know now, that must have been a moment to remember. So it's true? Hubby heard about it this morning, but I haven't found any online news report about it yet. BOONE, NC(Singing News) - Singing News has confirmed that legendary singer/songwriter Dottie Rambo was killed in an early morning bus accident. Early reports indicate that the accident was weather-related, and that several other passengers aboard the bus were also injured. The family was notified early this morning that the accident happened near Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Manager Larry Ferguson is still unconscious and has two broken legs. Updated Information from Missouri authorities: At 2:19 a.m.,Missouri State Troopers responded to the accident that took place on I-44, two miles east of Mt. Vernon, Missouri. According to the Troopers' report, the 1997 Prevost Dottie was traveling aboard ran off the roadway, struck the guard rail and an embankment. Dottie was pronounced dead at the scene by Lawrence County (Mo.) Coroner Don Lakin at 4:20 a.m. Aboard the bus were Dottie's product manager Christopher Barnes, Larry & Judy Ferguson, their children Pierce and Christian, and driver Ronnie Meadows. Funeral arrangements are pending. More information will be posted as it becomes available. © 2008 Singing News

ORIGINAL: Dinana Here's one video for ya!!! I think the sound would've been better if I hadn't been on the front row! Y'all can tell me if I have the wrong song title. I Can See the Hand You got the title right--it's a Danny Funderburk-era Cathedrals classic. (Since Brent Mitchell loves Danny Funderburk, I can see why they did that!) He sounds alot like Danny on that too!

I went to the Gaither Homecoming Concert last night in Tulsa. It was really good. I actually went just to see the Booth brothers and Signature Sound, but the whole group was great. They ended up doing several songs at the ends from audience requests and the spirit of the Lord was absolutely there. It was wonderful!! I drove 4 hours there and 4 hours back in the same day, so it was a long day, but well worth it!

We went to see Karen Peck & New River tonite at W. Frankfort, IL. It was not a large church and the crowd was small for the church. I question how well it was promoted because we had trouble finding out details about it, even after calling the area SG radio station. With that said, it was an outstanding evening. This was one concert that never made it to the second half. Right after Karen sang 4 Days Late the spirit was overwhelming. There were several young folks (teens and under) there, and the youth minister, sensing the spirit, had an altar call. There must have been 10 conversions, from subteen to adults. Karen was amazing the way she handled it. Darren and Susan also prayed with people. If Karen were an ordained minister she could not have handled that whole event any better. They sang one more song, took up the offering and the concert was over, or maybe I should say church was over. God was truly at work, and KP&NR were there at the right time to be in His service to help make it all happen. Karen did acknowledge Dotti Rambo, and told the audience what happened today earlier in the concert. It was news to us, as it seemed to be to most of the people in attendance. They sang parts of 4 Dotti Rambo songs, unrehearsed and acapella, and they demonstrated what professionals they are when they did this. Karen and company proved tonite once again why they are one of our favorite groups. Danny Jones was with them and I did get to briefly introduce myself as "Billboy" to him.

I saw Angelina and Route 77 last night in Loganville, GA. We went especially to see Zac Bennett play and sing with her (Eric Bennett's son). It was a good concert - Angelina was almost like a one-person band!! In addition to singing, she played the harmonica, mandolin, ukelele, keyboard and guitar. I don't know whether Zac is going to be permanent with the group and this was his first weekend playing/singing with them.

I was in Greenville, TX Friday night to see The Runaway Train tour. Westin Hinson's group By Faith opened the night...he sounds so much like Kenny. They sang several old Hinson favorites as well as a couple new ones of theirs. The group is Westin, his wife, and his mother and father-in-law. Next came, The McRaes. I have never seen them live before, as I've never been a "fan" of their sound, but I could enjoy them. It's of course now Annie with her 3 younger sisters, Leslie, Brittany, and Whitney...I believe are their names. Leslie looks just like Annie and the twin girls look just like Kelly. The twins didn't sing, one had the bass guitar and the other had an electric guitar. They had a piano player with them, I'm sorry I didn't catch his name...and their mother was also there with them helping run the sound system. After them came, Warren Barfield... he is definately the more CCM side of the tour, but I really really enjoyed him! It was just he and his brother Jefferey. Jefferey played the box drum and Warren sat on a chair and played acoustic guitar. He was very funny and had us laughing while he was blessing us with some very good songs. I would definately love to hear him again. After a quick intermission, Crabb Revival took the stage! While the other groups only sang around 20-30 minutes each, Crabb Revival was the BIG NUMBER and sang for about an hour and 1/2. They sound better each time I hear them...and Amanda has blended in so well with the others. She's sounding great! It was a great time of fellowship and worship.

Saw the Talleys last night. Had a wonderful time! They did about an hour and a half and they're at the same church tonight for their mother daughter banquet. We're going again tonight. Pics/Vids are here: http://heatherranah.myphotoalbum.com/view_album.php?set_albumName=album73
