My girls are still sick.... fevers... coughing... achy bodies.... I feel so sorry for them...
I'm probably going to work another short day today... I'm thankful I can use my 'sick' hours to care for them. I have a good boss... and a good job.
I've started reading Malachi.... but only had enough time to get through all the explanations at the beginning of the book... and the first chapter.
God really won't take second best from us.... I'm struck at how important responsibility of our own actions is. I'm struck by how God demands respect... the best.
Anything less is our poor attempt to lower Him to our standards.... and He just won't have that.

Hey Rach, sorry your girls are still sick! I had the creeping crud a month or so ago, I missed a whole week of work! I don't think I have ever missed a whole week from being out sick. It was nasty stuff. I hope they feel better soon!!

They camped out with me in my bedroom last night... it was kinda fun!
I love being a mom... I love being appreciated for being one....
I finished Malachi this morning... it was a good read.... so many verses caught my eye.... God rocks....
Any suggestions as to which book from the Bible I should read next?
Speaking of books... I'm curious who will win Shar-Mar's contest!

I've started reading the book of Ezekiel... I remember reading it before... I read all the stuff my Bible has about Ez and the times back then... and I read the first chapter.
Kudos to Ez for trying to record the amazing things he saw... those creatures were un-imagineable!!! Reading Ez's description was a good reminder that we tend to place God and what he can do in a small box.... yet... there are no limits to Him... and what He can and will do.... (or won't for that matter).
I loved this verse from chapter one:
Ezekiel 1:27-28 NASB
[27] Then I noticed from the appearance of His loins and upward something like glowing metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His loins and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him.
[28] As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.
He saw the glory of the LORD like the appearance of 'rainbow' weather...
How cool is that???
God is sooo good!

.......... and yes! I did feel the earth quake.... I thought it was a freak windstorm... I live in a trailer.... and it just felt like the wind was blowing it badly. I hate that feeling!
The check-out meeting with the prison officials went well... I'm in a really cool hotel room... getting ready for a long day tomorrow....
Oh... I ate at a Greek restaurant with Mike McCoy and Tanya Crevier....
I love adventure!!

I have found myself that it isn't that I don't like large cities, but rather just one's in the Northeast instead. I had been very irritable with city noise for a couple of weeks...but then saw my dr. and I have been fine (relatively) since then!
