I heard about the earthquake there. Man, that brings back some memories. I'm just glad where I live doesn't have many earthquakes.

I'm sad that I never found this thread somehow...I always love reading your blog and hearing about your prison ministry. God is so good to use some of the things that have hurt us the worst to reach out to others!!!

Soo good to see Cammo, Denny and DS!
DS... I haven't seen you in FOREVER! I'm glad you stopped by... you've been gone for so long! (Yes, I realize you are totally busy!)
...
Last night was Wednesday... I usually drop my girls off for youth at church and then spend the evening with my mom... last night she wanted me to pick up her yard... it was fun til I found...... IT.
A rat.
A dead rat.
A very flat dead rat. 
Where's a man when a girl needs one?? 
Actually.... having rodents at home has truly helped me. I picked up that ole rat by the tail and put him where he belonged!
I was blessed... I was placing the sticks in a pile the neighbor started out by the pond... two huge swans gently swam by as I stood and watched... they were only about 15 feet away. Watching them swim with such grace was a breath of fresh air for my heart.
My mom is very sad, folks. It seems her cat has gone off to die. The cat has been missing for days and is nowhere to be found. There were indications that the cat may have been sick before she left.
Now my mom is completely alone in the house... This is the first time in her ENTIRE life that she's ever lived alone. She has cause for more tears, bless her heart.
The option of getting another kitty is out... because she will be moving soon.
I love my mom. I know the pain I've felt since my father's death... I can't even begin to know the pain my mother feels.
Pray for her if you think of her...
Ray is traveling today.... right? Pray for Ray and Tooshy as God brings them to your minds as well... he's got a ways to go....

It was sooo good to read about you catching up with Ray and familia.... or vice versa! 
Cool news:
My youngest daughter won an award (along with 5 other kids from her 6th grade class) for Arbor Day. She gets to meet the mayor today and help plant a tree on school grounds....
She won it for a picture she drew.... it will be displayed tonight at the celebration.

This is the verse which is running through my head today....
In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us.
Ephesians 1:7-8

The part I really love is where it says "His grace"....
I think we often try to place our measurements on God.... but if we try to imagine 'His grace'..... HIS grace....
It's huge.
More than we can imagine.

That's the verse on my Myspace profile/blog. (I knew it looked familiar when I read it)! Or at least 1:7 is.
I love the use of the word lavished - it basically means smothered in... And this is His Grace that we're talking about... A Grace that is so immensely huge that it cannot be fathomed... That we will never have a complete understanding of it in this life.

It's funny.... but I was reminded again how God is working for us even when we don't know it...
Last week was hard for quite a few reasons (ever have one of those weeks where when it rains it pours?).... two people contacted me out of the blue saying they didn't know why.... but they felt they needed to pray for me...
I was sooo blessed.... by God... by their obedience....
God is working! He is sooo cool....
