Dee, surely there is a driver that can get you here for the meet and eat and the concert. So we will be looking for you.

This thread should be renamed Eating at Tony's with Shar-Mar!

But she is not going to be there. If it would mean she would be there, we could change the name. She will really miss out.

I wish but it is the mother daughter banquet at our church as well so anyone that I might could get to do that is tied up with that. I'll be thinking about you guys - tell everyone I said hello.

I'm not Santa, but they will be detouring you around Knoxville on I-640. You can cut across to US 411 on 321 and go through Maryville. Take your choice there through Seymore or Townsend. I checked with AAA yesterday and they recommended to take I-640 around Knoxville, said it wasn't but about 8 - 10 miles further than going I-40 through Knoxville. We are going June 1 and we are going to take 640. May comeback home down 411 for the scenic drive.

It is not even that much difference. I-640 is 10 miles from I-40 east of Knoxville to I-40 west of Knoxville. If you were able to go straight through on I-40 the distance is 8 miles.

Not sure where I'll be on that date, but probably either Winston Salem for the Legacy Five, GV, MTT, Danny Funderburke concert or in Gadsen for the Gold City Homecoming.

You know where you SHOULD be on the 28th.

Thanks Ed. Never knew how much difference but thought it was not much. And it should flow well on a Saturday barring any accidents.

Here I am trying to convince her to join up with the posters group in PF and there you go trying to persuade her otherwise...Poor girl is going to be torn in 3 pieces after we're done with her....

I will definitely be there on the 26th so I'll make at least 1 night of the Homecoming. The plans are up in the air right now as to whether I come home for the Cathedrals remembered thing (6/27)or stay there. My budget will probably be the determining factor (home means no hotel or food bill for Friday)although I've been told by a certain member of GV that I know that is where I'm supposed to be on Friday - so then I have to decide what to do on 6/28- 1) stay home and rest, 2) go to Winston-Salem, 3) go back to Gadsen, 4) go to Pigeon Forge. Option 1 is the cheapest but not my preference. Travel for 2-4 is not much different, so I guess hotel prices may be the deciding factor.

Just talked to Keith at Tony's BBQ and told him we would be there on the 28th of June with at least 20 people, possibly more. He put us down. I can add to the number if needed. Tony will be singing in WV that night but hopefully Kirk will be there. Not sure about Kirk right now.

We're actually still "maybes" for this Saturday. Gotta pay the bills Friday evening and see what's left over.

Oh boy! I'm getting so excited about June 28th. The list of people coming (and maybes) is pretty long!

I've been back home attending the birth of my fourth grandson but I am planning to be home in time for dinner at Tony's on Saturday. Can't wait to see everyone there.
