Where did she get the money? She got a loan. As far as I can tell my name isn't on it. But that doesn't mean I'm not liable.

It's very upsetting about the trailer, especially if it counts as community property. Scarey to wonder what she used for collateral! Is there any way the lawyer can help you protect yourself.

I would guess that, in some respects, this is worse than a death because it involves rejection and betrayal. Not to minimize Sharon's pain...and I'm sure she understands my point. But Lynn has rejected and betrayed you, as well as abandoning you! That must be extremely painful.

Ben, you do indeed need to take but one step at a time. Even, at this point, it seems maybe just one breath at a time. You can't know what to do tomorrow or the next day because you keep getting more information that throws you for another loop.

Listen carefully to what counsellors and others say. Ask whatever questions that come to mind of whomever you think might know something that could help you and Kayla. And know that God is going through all this with you and does know how you feel. Our Lord knows both from being all knowing and from personal experince what it means to be betrayed.

I pray that in time things will become more peaceful for you and Kayla. And I pray that in time there will be new things brought into your home that will help make it in new ways more "home" to you.

I wish I had more and better suggestions for you but I'd be fooling myself I pretended that I did. Keep crying out to our Lord. And take that one step...and one breath...at a time.

We love you, Ben. And we're praying for you.

I'm surprised they LET her take such a large loan without you since you ARE married. But I guess different states have different laws.

I'm still praying. That's probably the best thing I can say.

She called this afternoon when I was at work and spoke to Evan. She was basically hiding in the bathroom at a bank and didn't have much time as then he would wonder what took her so long. She wants out of there, away from him. But she feels stuck now that she has the obligation of the trailer. Evan says she now knows how good it was here at home and that I am not an evil monster, now that she is experiencing what someone who is truly controlling acts like.

I spoke to her this evening and told her that as soon as she gives the word that I would come there and hook it up and drive it home. She couldn't talk and made it clear that she was being listened to, but got away from him for a moment and said she'd call me late tonight, after he's asleep I presume.

I'm more fearful for her now than ever. Please pray for her safety.

Praying, Ben.

If she comes back and brings the trailer, maybe there is still time to return it without losing money? There may not be, but...just a thought...

I'm going to get her today. He assaulted her yesterday but she has to be the one to call the police. But in the state she's in she feels she still needs to "take care" of him. Pray for God's intervention and presence.

Abba, I ask your physical protection over both Lynn and Ben today. I pray safe travels for Ben while he goes to get Lynn and for both of them as they return home later today. I pray, Lord, YOUR Wisdom and Your Guidance to absolutely saturate Ben today in everything he does and everything he says. I pray for Your Comfort and Your Assurance, Father - for both Ben and Lynn. I pray for Your Healing and a restoration in their marriage. Lord, I pray that You cover Lynn and that You show her what reality is and what it is not. In Your Son, Jesus' Precious Name, I pray and I thank You for the Gift of Prayer. Amen.
