Welcome, Doveflight!

Be sure to pick up some body armor on your way to the predestination threads. It's gotten a lot more heated over the last couple of weeks. Insults fly faster than scripture references these days.

I've been staying out of those threads and quite a few others. I used to lurk just to learn more and be informed by the discussion.

Thanks for the welcome Martin and Eddie.

BTW, anybody interested in working with me? We always have openings for Christian couples.

Unfortunately, Eddie, I'm a little behind in timing ... I still have a few years here at Fuller; but I would apply! My wife loves Virginia ...

The 'score' indicates how many 'stars' you have been awarded by other members. Your rating (New Member, Junior Member, Senior Member, etc) is directly related to your post-to-star ratio.

Many blessings!!

As Mike just explained, I just rated your post +2, so you jumped from 21 to 23.

You rate a post from the link at the bottom right of a post where it says "Report | Rate post | Post #: 181 ".

Thanks Doug, that is really nice. Maybe my son can help me select one and move it over.
He's my right hand man on this machine.

Simple...

If you're in Windows Internet explorer, just right-click on the thumbnail, and select "Save Picture as..."

Save it with a name you'll recognize on your PC. Then in your profile, upload it as your avatar.

And I just bumped all my Reformed and not-so-Reformed brothers and sisters here +2 to help you on your way to super members.

I just have so little time online nowadays to get very deep in any serious threads. It takes me too much time to ponder, search relevant scripture, then hunt &peck and edit my posts. It's kind of like the people who say they can't make it to church but are with you in spirit - not much use to anbody.

Just in case the whole day went by without anyone noticing...

I would just like to point out that today is the only "Oh Five Oh Five Oh Five" date we will have most of our life times....

I'm telling ya... the End is Nigh, no matter how it's spelt.

Aren't Spelt a type of fish? And isn't a fish the symbol used oft by the early Church?

I think that could a sign that the Beginning is Nigh.

Not only that, but next year we'll have the date 6/6/6.

And did you know that June 6 is the birthday of James Morrison Steele MacKaye (no relation) who invented the folding chair... used in MOVIE THEATERS where sometimes RATED R movies are shown?

Not to mention the DOOMS DAY Invasion? Mmmmmm?

And not only that, but Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had his all-time playoff low of SIX points in Game 5 (weird, huh?) of the 1982 NBA Finals.

And Euty, this one will be meaningful for you especially. On June 6, 1850 (only 184-- coincidence?-- years after 1666), the first land lot was purchased in what would become Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery.

Can you say George H. W. Bush and G8 Summit? That's right... June SIX.

Bygrace,

It was only funny because, apparently, you've been drinking.

Well, I take it back. Theo, that was pretty keen. Nice little bit of humor to wake up to.

Hope everyone has a good day.

This is what my job does to me after a 10 hour day of computer and coffee... it's sometimes better than "drinking".

And you ought to see those critters that scamper across the road during the late night commute home...

Too bad Euty, you're a good poster.

BTW do you bear any resemblance to John Luke Picard in your Avatar? Love his "make it so" line. Interesting what a good example of corporate leadership style that show gave. Gave him a good reputation, but haven't seen him around much in any other films.
