Wow, some of my favorite movies were on this list. Alright, I'll bite. Here are some of my least favorite big budget films. Fight Club War of the Worlds (Tom Cruise edition) Saw III The Da Vinci Code The Butterfly Effect The Sixth Sense Batman and Robin

ORIGINAL: frazzledmom IN high school my youth group went to see a 3-D movie called "Comin' at ya"......it was all stupid 3-D effects with no plot and more inapprpriate stuff than we bargained for; I felt guilty for seeing it, and I don't think very many parents knew the content. More recently I found American Beauty disgusting and refused to watch after the first 10 or 15 minutes. My wife and I wanted to see American Beauty because of the hype & all the awards it was up for, but we too walked out within like the first 10 minutes... terrible! And I've probably only walked out of two or three movies in my whole life...

"Dark Star" would have been the worst movie I have ever seen. The theme tune at the start was excellent, but that was the best part of it. The movie itself, just didn't come up to expectations to my thinking. The only other movie I can think of would be "Santa Claus Versus The Martians". lol.

Vanilla Sky starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. It was awful. And, at the end, the whole story turned out to be just a dream. Wow, thats creative!!

For a movie to be on my worst list it has to at least show potential of some sort. The "Golden Turkey" movies that went around for awhile were bad but they actually showed little potential so they couldn't really disappoint me. Just because a single actor/ director does poorly in a movie also doesn't put that film into this category either it might be slightly disappointing but hardly one of the worst list movies. My #1 worst movie of all time was "Mrya Breckingridge" for those who dont know this movie, it starred Raquel Welsh, Mae West, John Huston, Jim Backus, Andy Devine, John Carradine and a very young Tom Selleck and Farrah Fawcett. It came from the novel by well known and respected author Gore Vidal. While it hardly would qualify for an R rating nowadays, it originally was given an X rating and it was pulled from the theaters after only about a month. With all that star power and potential it might have had in the abstract, it failed completely and lost huge sums of money. That is why I consider it the worst of all time. I know that rotten tomatoes gives it a 26% which is higher than many others but those others never really showed any potential in my book, not like M.R. Gore Vidal himself rated this film the second worse film of all time.

Without question: Omega Man I rented it because it was 1) science fiction, and 2) starred Charlton Heston. How can you go wrong with Charlton Heston? Somebody please tell me that this movie was actually a clever college prank, where some very talented CGI hackers "placed" Charlton Heston into that movie, because I refuse to believe he would have voluntarily participated. Lets see, how do I describe it...imagine Mad Max (Charlton Heston), battling the Black Panthers painted white, wearing dark sunglasses , because they've all been infected by an incurable plague. They're constantly trying to kill Charlton Heston, because he's NOT infected with the plague, but because of their illness, they can only come out at night. Now imagine it written by 60's free-loving, dope-smoking, LSD-tripping "converts" of the Jesus movement, who then attempt to pass it off as a Christian allegory. OK, now take the image in your mind and make that a baseline of 1 on a scale from 1 to 10. Omega Man would then rate a -36.

ORIGINAL: ChristopherJ My nomination for the worst movie ever... FARGO. Ugh. I don't know what people saw in that retarded movie! Great acting, especially from Frances McDormand. (Who deservedly won an Oscar for best actress that year) The script is really good, with some great character dialogue. The overall dark comedic feel of the film. Frances McDormand's closing monologue about greed. etc. quote:

I can safely say without a doubt the worst movie ever made was Highlander: The Source (aka Highlander 5). It made Highlander 2: The Quickening look good... and that is no easy feat but this movie managed to do it. Adrian Paul must have been on the brink of death to come crawling back to an already dead franchise and wade through this sewage for a paycheck. I think I would have taken death personally.

"The Pirate Movie" A knock-off of Pirates of Penzance with Kristy McNichol and Christopher Atkins. Absolutely horrible, and that is even without the singing.

I don't know if I have made a vote in this thread before or not so I will list a few: Lady in the Water War of the Worlds Once Speed 2 Troll in Central Park The Number 23 White Noise Jesse James (Whatever the whole title is) Add onto this list just about anything starring Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler, or most things made by National Lampoon (save things like Christmas Vacation and Animal House).

ORIGINAL: 1love1God1way Jesse James (Whatever the whole title is) The Assassination Of Jesse James was fantastic. I think most people walked into it expecting an action movie, but instead got a very deep drama. I could see why that would throw people off from liking it, it was also very slow, but the acting was brilliant in it.

I didn't mind the acting. I just didn't like how the story developed. It really disappointed me. Maybe calling it one of the worsts was a little harsh.
