I hated to see the "Two Truths and a Lie" game locked. It was getting really interesting, and it seemed to be growing quickly. I don't have a problem with the other games, but it is nice to have something new once in awhile.

Yeah, that's new, but if I could have spoken up for a fourth, I think that would have been it.

I was hoping the "Two Truths and a Lie" game would stay around for a while so we could all be more knowledgeable on SG facts and history.

I had also seen it as more of a learning tool for those new to SG.

I totally agree, Matt. I learned a lot of interesting facts from that game, but it had such a short life! I didn't even get a chance to participate. Like I said, I don't have a problem with the other games, but new games don't even have a chance now. The other games had a great run, but I think it's time for something new. So far, we have three votes for "Two Truths and a Lie", so maybe PS103 will help us out!

We can change the games in a while, so please keep the 2 Truths and a Lie game and any others you think of handy for when that happens.

Ps103, Since we can't put everyone's favorite game on the threads, how about having 2 continually running games and one game of the month that would allow someone to start a new gam every month with the old game being locked or deleted. Just a thought. I know you would like to make everyone happy, which is hard/impossible to do.

I would be okay with that.

Can everyone agree on one game to switch?

Not. I don't even play the games, well maybe once, so I don't know why I'm sticking my nose in this.

I don't know. I'd say either Alphabetical Song Titles or Song Titles, keeping Hangman, but others would say differently.

Me thinks that my being helpful, although my intentions were good, will only create more work for you. I fear that in order to keep down confusion you would have to post the game of the month. May not be a workable solution.

IMO, the "Two Truths and a Lie" game is more thought provoking then "Alphabetical Song Titles" or "Song Titles". It's not one to grow too big, too fast either. And with everyone getting a chance to participate, the facts/statements offered can vary in many ways, so it could actually add topics of interest to our folder.
For example: "Bill Gaither didn't teach English; Evelyn, a part of the Gaither Trio did, right?", sounds like the start of an interesting SG thread!

I think those are great points. I really hope "Two Truths and a Lie" can stick around for longer than a month. It would be great if it could be one of the continually running games.

Well, why do you need two song titles games? Definitely keep a variety.

Can everyone live with that?

Maybe a new game every two months or so?

Which do we want to keep, alphabetical song titles or regular song titles?

I played the Song Titles game for a while when I first started on this forum, but before long I kept noticing the same titles being continuously reused. No offense to Daniel, but I like the challenge of the 2 truths & a lie game. The only downside to me is that whomever asked the question has to be on-line when there is a correct answer, or else one cannot get in the game. I found the same thing with the Hangman game. As a once-per-day or less user, that is my perspective.

If one of the song title games has to go, I notice one has twice as many posts as the other since they started over. So maybe keep the one with the most posts. That is if one has to go.

Okay, I know I'm repeating myself, and that I already have an answer, but I hardly ever play any of the other games, except the SuperFan one. So, as long as that is not affected then you all can decide whatever you want with the others.

I started a game but it won't be one to build in size really fast, least I hope. I will be asking say a new question couple times a day. called Bible Trivia. I think will be a fun way that some can learn from the Bible. trust me I am having to dig for these so won't be flooding the game with questions . also, can feel free to archive it when want and if ok with you could restart it again monthly. that way wont have massive amount of pages

Future note: I've been doing a "place that song line" game on another forum--it's a lot of fun and I'd love to do it here with Southern Gospel songs at some point.

Although I will take part in the truth/lie game, I haven't been really active in the others, because after a while you start recycling the same songs and it gets repetitive. I'm not posting just to boost a post count--I want to have to think! :)
