Wow, that's a tough one ... my ex did that to me once and it hurt my feelings big time. His mother's birthday is only a couple days before mine, so there was no excuse.

Deal. I have issues with tendonitis and carpal tunnel in both hands and wrists, so there are times when I could be in that position. And if all else fails, see Tink's response ... LOL

DOND: They get so engrossed in a book they are reading, they forget you are there.

I think that would get annoying rather quickly. No deal.

Deal or no deal: They are huge "princess bride" fans and pepper their talk with quotes from the movie

Deal. I enjoy interspersing quotes from movies into conversations. He'd have to be patient, though, because I wouldn't get all of the PB quotes.

quote:

DOND: Watches a movie over and over until it's memorised (by everyone including the dog).

Deal. It's difficult to not rewatch great movies.

DOND: All the children in the neighborhood come over to ask them to come out and play

Deal as long as he doesn't always play with them. I'd want him to play with me.

Deal. Gaming's a great way to build relationships.

I'd have to say no deal. That's a little too much video gaming.

quote:

DOND: Knows when the latest game is coming out, but forgets your birthday.

Deal. I'm good at reminding people about my birthday.

Deal. I do that often.

Eh...sure, if we have the money.

DOND: They consistently beat you at almost every game.

Very depends. If it were just us grownups no problem. But I don't want the Girl playing electronic games until she is much older. I'd rather have her outside playing. (Although she is working a jigsaw puzzle)

No deal.they shouldn't be doing anything enough to hurt themselves that much.

Deal. I stopped having birthdays when I hit 38. My dad is only 39 an dit would be rude to pass him.

Deal. Turnabout is fair play.

Unless they are independantly wealthy, no deal. Wait 6 months and you can get them for half price.

I'd have to say no deal since that is an impossibility.

At my stage in life I'd say no deal. When I get married I want to spend time with her, not have her be halfway around the world away from me most of the time.

DOND. They are not "green" in any way. Not reckless in theiruse of resources but not really concerned about it either.

Deal. I'm a military brat and more than willing to live that life again. Besides being in the military doesn't necessarily mean deployment all the time. My father served during a war and never went anywhere.

DOND. They are the spelling police. They obviously love your love letters to them but insist on correcting the spelling and sending them back.

Deal. I'll just quit writing love letters.

What? I thought the point of going to the movies was to hold hands! *sigh* Kids these days....

No deal...OBVIOUSLY>

Okay I got razzed last time for not putting an option out there.

Deal if they serve in a capacity that doesn't require them to move frequently or face potential death. I respect our service men and women, but I want a father around for our children, assuming we have some. (Plus, I'm not a young chickadee.)

quote:

DOND. They are not "green" in any way. Not reckless in theiruse of resources but not really concerned about it either.

Deal. I believe in being a good steward and try to use resources wisely, but that's about as far as it goes.

quote:

DOND: Insists on speaking like cartoon characters.

From time to time, deal.

I was just laughing at the SW reference and therefore didn't need to post one.

DOND. They are the spelling police. They obviously love your love letters to them but insist on correcting the spelling and sending them back.

I go through periods when I'm like this, and it annoys me. No deal. The content's more important. (And why would I want to be with someone who would return my intimate disclosures as not good enough???)

quote:

DOND: Won't hold your hand during scary scenes of movies.

Deal as long as he's busy keeping his arms around me while letting me bury my head in his chest...but I probably wouldn't watch a movie like that anyway.

quote:

DOND: When doing laundry, they don't separate whites from colors.

Looks like I'll be doing the wash. If not, then no deal. You're supposed to separate whites from darks, colds from warms/hots.

DOND: They're in the upside half of an emotionally draining period of life.

I normally have too hard of a time getting their arms loosened enough from around my neck to worry about just holding their hands. But deal anyway

quote:

DOND: When doing laundry, they don't separate whites from colors.

Are you really supposed to do that? Doesn't seem to matter here. I must use good detergent or something. (Of course I do have an amazing amount of pink underwear.. Hmmm Don't remember buying any though)

Deal. we'll learn together

YES YES YES DEAL!!!!! (I won't have to share!)

I know that Tink is terrified of Bozo the Cockroach. I seem to remember Shema being scare of something too. Now what was that...

Hey Shema! You've just got to see the new Wolfman color scheme I have for the dashboard of the boat!

I'm not sure I understand this one.

No deal. Researching major purchases. Great. Researching what brand of TP to buy. no way.

LOL! Colors I can handle. A photo? I'll drive the supertoon.

Huh? The hearing in my left ear's horrible, so that might make for some interesting and humoruos conversations. Deal.
