I liked on the Gaither Homecoming Bloopers video, when they showed the Hoppers getting ready to sing Shoutin Time in Ireland, and Claude yealled to the audience "What Time Is it"? and the audience just looked at each other like they didn't know what to say! LOL.

That was funny!

That would be a blow to the ego.......or maybe more of a reality check.

Adam,

I had to laugh this morning. I was reading the forums and one of my employees was looking over my shoulder and saw your avatar. She said "that guy looks sorta like the guy that sang bass with the Cathedrals". Go Figure.

I don't know if the new 50th anniversary videos will have a blooper reel but Claude had problems introducing the group. He had just finished introducing Dean and was attempting to introduce Mike. He said would you please welcome, paused a moment and said Dean Hopper. The crowd was laughing and Dean stopped and mentioned lets get this right, take two.

He does have a striking resemblance to that bass singer, doesn't he........

......and that other guy sort of looks like the lead singer, too.

Be glad you work with people that actually recognize who it is. I doubt many I work with would have a clue........

My favorite is Shoutin Time In Heaven.
Especially the video from Greenville when they sang it and the Cathedrals joined them onstage.

Wow!

Is that video available on DVD?

Indeed it is!!!
$25 on the Hoppers' website.

Classics: Live in Greenville

Just watching Glen Payne on Shoutin Time is worth the price of the video.

Hey. I'm new here though I apparently registered years ago. lol Anyway, I love the Hoppers but missed an opportunity to meet them last year because the crowds were too long and I was wanting to talk with Sheri Easter about her mom. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here knows if the Hoppers have e-mail addresses where they can get fan mail?

The Hoppers were the first mixed group I ever saw back in August 1990 (I think). I saw them again in 1993 or 1994 but haven't seen them since outside of the NQC. They do hold a special place in my heart, though, and I would love to see them again. One of my favorite songs they sang was "What's Wrong With My Children?"

Thanks guys! I appreciate your responses. I did find Dean's e-mail on his bio page so I sent him an e-mail. I don't expect he'll look at it though until after today's concert. Just curious hopperfan, have you gotten e-mails from Kim too?

Santa... you are too adorable! Is that even right to say? lol Love the suit. Your new avatar is gorgeous too. You should see if you can recreate the coke ads.

Thanks for the kind words. Put in a good word for me with the coke company.

Not recent, recently. I saw them with the Gaithers last year. I guess they did Jerusalem and "I've Come Too Far" since I didn't recognize those songs at the time. I tried to get to their table but it was so crowded I was not able to get through. I ended up at the Easter table most of the time talking with Sheri about her mom. I really wish I had gotten to meet the Hoppers then.

They are down-to-earth people, I mean what you see on stage is what you see offstage...I saw them about a year and a half ago in Tennessee, but I haven't been able to see them again, cause they haven't been close to where I live. Kim is my favorite...I love them all, but Kim is my favorite. I saw them the first time in 1999 and I fell in love with her voice. I hope you get to meet them soon! Do you have any of their CDs?
