I remember LLisa calling me almost in tears because everyone was mad at her when she got home... I am pretty sure she called, maybe I just hear her voice in her typing as it were. ...but she was really worried. It is no wonder that we get along so great.

Ah, lunch time at last! Bacon fried rice, one of my favorite meals! And the weather seems to have turned nice after all, at least for now. I actually saw some sunshine! God is good.

Pizza is good, but bacon fried rice just hits the spot. It's so easy, too. I chop up a lb. of bacon, fry it, drain the grease off, add about five cups of cooked rice, and then while it's on med/high heat I stir in 4 or 5 eggs and cook them. Then I stir in chopped green onions and add salt and soy sauce to taste. Easy and sooo yummy! We watched "A Miracle in Lane 2" this morning. It was so good! I cried. I had the purple quilt laid out on the floor to get the backing ready, and I intended on working on sewing it together but the movie was so good I finally just picked it all up and put it on my room to work on later.

Mmmmm. . .bacon fried rice is sooooo good. You have to serve it with salad and ranch dressing though so you can mix a little bit of the dressing into your rice. LOL! Yeah, I know I'm weird. I might have to make some of that myself sometime soon, it's been a while. What's "A Miracle in Lane 2" about? Never heard of it.

ORIGINAL: dance4joy What's "A Miracle in Lane 2" about? Never heard of it. It's about a little 12-year old boy with Spina Bifida who is in a wheelchair and his older brother is an athlete at school. He wants to win a trophy, and tries to find a way to get one. He ends up getting into soap car derby racing and winning the National Championship. It's based on a true story, too. It's really moving, has some very funny parts, no bad parts, and it'll make you cry. He's got a very vivid imagination, too, and it breaks away into these little fantasies he has about things like they do in Arthur. Like he talks to God a lot, but he imagines God looking like his favorite race car driver. The dialogue with God is very funny and thought-provoking. My favorite part is in the end when he's talking with God and asks God is everyone will be perfect in heaven. God opens the door to heaven and shows him that they will be--and all the angels are flying in wheelchairs. It's so cute! You'd enjoy it.

Then Darryl decided to try and take credit for the whole thing, and say it was his idea all along! Now, I was sorry for what I did, but it was my idea. Lisa, Have you ever played the game where a group sits in a circle and one person whispers something in the ear of the person next to him and then that person tells the next person and by the time it gets to last person, it barely resembles what was originally said? That is what has happened here. For me to have taken credit for what you did would have shown that I lacked character. I loved playing and acting up and I never needed to steal someone elses thunder and it's unfortunate and disappointing that you think of me this way. I tried to pm you rather than put this here but your email is out of space.

Ummm... Darryl, I remember you trying to take credit for it, saying that you were in on the whole thing from the start (of course, everyone knew better). You had LLisa really going with that too because I even had to chide her because she was SUPPOSED to be contrite. She was finding awful hard to stay contrite when you were having so much fun taking the credit. To make if funnier, you had an air of chivalry... like you were trying to keep her from being in too much trouble by taking some of the blame, now that you knew who was behind the escapade. You just had way too much fun doing it for LLisa's comfort and you were getting all of that wonderful attention. Again, you were just too cool... ETA: Darryl didn't try to act like he was in on the whole thing until he had announced that Wa1ker311 wasn't him and the WHOLE board was in an uproar.

I don;t think that her feelings were hurt by you "trying" to take credit. I think it just yanked her chain to having see you in the center enjoying yourself so much. I don't think that the act of taking the "blame" was the actual thing that saveed her from trouble as much as that you were letting us know that you were ok and could joke about it. Some people that weren't even involved were upset still. The rest of us were laughing at the two of you going back and forth. Also you weren't stealing attention. You both had a LOT of attention. LLisa had more than she wanted even. You were just sort of taking the credit... sort of... but we knew better. It was fun watching LLisa squirm. It was really funny and kind of complex.

C2G - LLisa - Just wanted you to know I'm joining you here. I'm so glad I found your break room! Also glad you're taking a break from your mod duties. It's gotta be rough keeping up with everything. Take it easy, enjoy the rest of your life. I'm going to enjoy this thread!

Hi, Pamela Sue! Glad you could join us here! Darryl, to clear things up, my feelings were never hurt in the matter. :) I had a lot of fun with the whole thing, but it was difficult maintaining that delicate balance of being tickled to death at the uproar I caused and still remaining humble and apologetic about it. My jaw about hit the floor when you started taking credit for it, but I wasn't hurt by it. But by golly, I wasn't letting anyone else take credit for my ingenious work, even if I shouldn't have done it and was really really sorry. LOL! Oh, what a conflicting time it was! Pride mixed with sorrow. Hard to pull off and remain convincing.

Last thing that I will say on this because in my 48 years, no woman has ever said to me…. “You’re right”. quote:
(((((Darryl))))) I think Lisa just got a little befuzzeled in her memory. I do believe that there is truth in Sharon’s statement because for me to purposely take credit for a ruckus that you or anyone started would have been a lie. Now, you may have misunderstood something that I said in the whole scheme of things. It was obvious at first that I was upset but once I learned who did it and your intent, I got over it plus I felt like I had to convince you that I had no ill will toward you. Everyone who was reading all of the posting going on pretty well knew that is was not a planned event and they were smart enough to know that Lisa was on the hot seat for a while. My disappointment is just now finding out that all this time, you believed that Walker311 took something from you. I wished that you would have said something to me way back then if you felt that way because I would have done anything to make it up to you. Anyway, that time is gone and I can’t get it back but it was a fun time and I will always remember it as such. There are a handful of people who remember this, and I don’t want invisible people or even one person that I have known for years, thinking that this guy(me) who is posting about Jesus, once took credit for a Crosswalk scandle where a girle was allowed to go loose one night and almost sent a Christian website into cyber space infinity. Lisa, you may be a posting geenius, but you will always be just a girlie to me.
