Imagine if I had actually had good seats... I coulda gotten their nose hairs. 
That camera has settings for portrait, landscape, landscape & portrait, sport, night scene, night & portrait, indoor, candle, self portrait, available light, sunset, fireworks, cuisine, behind glass, documents, auction, Shoot & select 1, shoot & select 2, beach, snow, under water wide 1, under water wide 2, and under water macro. Additionally, I can select macro for up close pictures. I can tell it to make a pic brighter or darker and I can do all manual settings like a regular SLR too. It has image stabilization to help take the blur out. It can track so if what you are taking a picture of moves, it stays in focus. It has video with sound in multiple sizes and it will track focus as you zoom in and out while shooting. There is a cheaper model with less optical zoom, but mine has a wider optical. Even so, I can still add on an additional lens attachment that will give me like 24 optical, or something like that. It also has digital zoom besides.

Mine has rechargeables too (rechargeable AAs... Not sure if the Enegergizers work, though I guess they would), but you can also use AA. It doesn't eat them up like my smaller digital camera does. You actually do get a lot of pictures on a batch of batteries before you need to recharge or replace.

For SG artists, the motion wasn't too bad. That night I used the Candle setting. Also, as you saw I got pics of the screen. You can get great close-ups that way too.

It looks like you're using a Kodak Disc camera...circa 1984! I owned one at one time, I'm ashamed to say... :o)

Seriously, it's your camera...point and shoots don't cut it for concert photos...never have and probably never will.
Edit: Err...sorry, I didn't notice that the first page of this thread was over a year old. I was referring to your original photos, if you didn't figure that out by now.

They were great in concert. I just wish I had gotten the opportunity to talk to them. It was just so crowded that I was barely acknowledged.

Edit: Err...sorry, I didn't notice that the first page of this thread was over a year old. I was referring to your original photos, if you didn't figure that out by now.
You guessed the brand right, but not the year. It was a Kodak EasyShare, made in 2006, I believe.
That particular camera is a moot point, though, since it died after I'd had it for one year three days. You guessed it--it had a one-year warranty.

Generally speaking I do not take photos at concerts. And I have never been one to have my photo taken with the artist. Although I did have my photo taken a couple of weeks ago with Aaron Wilburn.

I take some pictures at concerts. Used to be really bad about it, but I had taken so many, I quite for a couple of years. I started back this year taking a very few at concerts. I like to look back at the groups and see the changes they make. I have a digital camera which I was using but I still like my 35mm film camera better. Using the fast speed with the lights that are low still gives fair pictures.
BTW I have over 32 one inch notebooks full of pictures and a lot that I haven't put in notebooks. They are all in alphabetical order by groups.
When I get old and can't drive to concerts to see the groups, I'll play their cd's and look at their pictures in the books.

I've tried several different cameras. I got a new HD Kodak camera for christmas..thought it would be wonderful. It went back because the photos were horrible. I just bought a new one earlier this past week and we just went to a show Friday night. I have to say this camera is one of the best for photos at shows. Here are the pics from Friday night http://heatherranah.myphotoalbum.com/view_album.php?set_albumName=album71 there's 4 pages and we were about 7th-8th row back. Like everyone has already said..flash off. This is a Canon PowerShot SX100IS 8MP. I got it at sams club.
Hope that helps some. It also helps I've noticed if your straight on and not on the sides. My other camera was really good if you were straight, but didnt do that great from the sides. Lighting is different I suppose.
