Tonight we have a softball game in a town where I know there is a neat little restaurant. So we will probably eat there.

Kristin, do you not add water or anything? Cause I'm thinking the paste is well... pasty. =)

No, I don't add water and you're right, it is very pasty. We like a thick sauce, though. Some people might not like it that thick.

Tonight we're having cabbage soup. I made the menu for these past two weeks when the weather was still quite cold. Well, all the sudden it has warmed up and now cabbage soup doesn't sound that appealing. Oh well, I'm making the menu for the next two weeks this weekend and I'll be sure to include more warm weather fare!

Chelle: care to share your peppersteak recipe? The last one I tried wasn't exactly what my husband was picturing!

Sure...Its basically the recipe you will find on the back of the Campbells Beef Gravy can.

1 pkg. wafer steaks, cut into chunks or strips
1 onion, cut into strips
1 bell pepper (any color), cut into strips...this is optional
1 can (14 1/2 oz) Beef Gravy
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce...you can add more depending on taste
Garlic powder and pepper to taste

In a medium skillet saute onion and bell pepper in a little oil (vegetable or olive). Add beef and garlic powder, cook until brown, don't drain. Add gravy, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper...let simmer for about 30-45 minutes. Serve over rice.

Mmmm, peppersteak is one of my favorite meals ever. I used to use steak, but now I usually put on a roast with seasonings and soy sauce and cook it all day so I have the stock to use for the sauce, then I just cut up the roast. It's sooooo good that way.

Tonight is grilled chicken salad with homemade garlic french bread on the side.

We're having another couple over for dinner on the patio so I'm making marinated London Broil, Bacon and Onion green beans, and potatos of some sort, probably baked.

I don't know. I don't wanna cook tonight.

Thing is, we're probably going out tomorrow night for supper (hubby's birthday), so I SHOULD cook tonight!

We're having my family over for Mother's Day tonight. We're bbq-ing chicken, having mashed potatoes & rice with gravy, corn, fruit salad, poppyseed strawberry salad, homemade buns, iced tea and I'm not sure what my sister is bringing for dessert.

Hmmm, yummy!!

Wow, that sounds GREAT! Can I come, too?

Kevin didn't have a birthday lunch today, so I have to cook. It's hamburger helper tonight.

We had homemade pizza with a little excitement. I had the oven warming up and heard a strange buzzing. Then I saw smoke. I opened the door and the bottom element had broken and was on fire. It was no big loss because the fire went out right away, and I used the Pizzaz pizza maker I'd gotten for Christmas a few years back. I've never been able to make a great pizza with it, but it was better than trying to cook them at a neighbor's.

We had fishsticks, rice pilaf, and green beans. "Cheater" brownies are in the oven. (The precut, place on a pan and bake kind!). I didnt feel much like cooking, I went home from work at lunch sick...feeling better but still not up to cooking.

We've not been doing well with cooking this week. I'm in desperate need of new ideas. Dinner for me was spaghetti and sausage, DH isn't hungry.

Brian was gone tonight so we had...whatever. I had leftovers. Kids wanted baked potatoes, so they had those.

Tomorrow may be that pizza pasta Erin made up.

I don't know. We got some fresh corn on the cob today at the grocery store: even some ears of white corn: my favorite. I'll probably make hot dogs or something like that for the kids who want them.
