Someone asked if I was a wrestling fan, well I watch it if I'm home & there's nothing urgent on/but guests usually don't like it. As for a fan, I can only say who was the big guy, w/ the 1 strap that Langley beat for the title (see I don't remember his name) ???? But i.e. right now a non-premium NYC cable tv program the best of MSG is on & I'm watching Cowboy Bob Horton & Rowdy Rod vs. The Junk Yard Dog & Jimmy Snuka Fly...I remember Bruno,Pedro, Geo. The Animal, etc.

Oh @ 9pm I just caught part of Jake The Snake Vs. Million $$$$ Man, later Savage vs. Hogan for the belt..can't watch though. Do some of you have the MSG channel? PS- Back in those days they actually had "officials" @ a ringside table, sometimes 2 out of 3 matches & fans really threw things.

I have teh MSG channel but I didn't get to watch last night, because the picture was all distorted. I really wanted to see the Roberts and DiBiase match though. A couple weeks ago it was Super Fly Jimmy Snuka, The Samoan something or other, versus Roddy Rowdy Piper and Cowboy Bob Orton, that was a great match. Last week they had Orndorf vs. Tito Santana which was an incredible match. I forgot what an amazing wrestler Tito Santana was. I wonder whatever happened to him.

Okay, since it happened, I've not had much to say on the Benoit situation currently going on. I'm a little angry that as usual, instead of laying the blame at the feet of the perpetrator, everyone is acting like Vince McMahon and the WWE is responsible for what Benoit did. So I've kep t my mouth shut on the situation. However, I just read this blog that Kennedy had put up and I'm tellin ya, I wanted to jump up and down when I read it. Finally, someone is opening there mouth who actually seems to have something to say... I'll post a portion of the blog here, but click on the link below to read this rest. If you watch pro wrestling or are following this Benoit mess, this is a must read!! Very Good Ken Kennedy Rant On Benoit, More Story posted by Ryan Clark on July 12, 2007 Ken Kennedy has just posted this message on his official site at http://www.ken-kennedy.com. Please GOD, I'm just BEGGING for someone who has actually wrestled in a WWE ring in the past decade besides Jericho, Bret Hart, John Cena, and Ted Dibiase to come forward on one of these shows and tell the world what's really going on. For these goofs, like Lanny Poffo? Ultimate Warrior? and Marc Mero???!! to repeatedly act as "experts" and "wrestler advocates" on the current situation is like having a frustrated ex-jock who rode the pine bench throughout his high school sports career give advice to Brett Favre on how to improve his game! It's ridiculous, insane, and it really makes me sick that these so called reporters like Bill O'Reilly, Nancy Grace, and Geraldo Rivera, call upon these silly ****s who are bitter and frustrated that their careers have ended to represent the WWE which of course makes all of us look like a bunch of babbling idiots who are all addicted to steroids, drugs, alcohol, etc. THINGS ARE MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THEY WERE FIVE OR TEN OR TWENTY YEARS AGO! Most of the "expert", frustrated ex-wrestlers that they've had on the show came from an era where everyone wrestled every day and then went out and partied like rock stars until dawn, drinking copious amounts of alcohol, smoking cigarettes and marijuana, snorting cocaine, taking fistfuls of pills, and injecting massive amounts of steroids. They would take pills to go to sleep, snort coke or take speed to get up and do this day after day after day! This would not be even remotely tolerated in today's environment. We have a strict drug policy in place. The WWE's wellness program was designed and instituted by the same doctor who implemented the NFL and the NBA's substance abuse programs. Contrary to what somebody recently said on one of these "tabloid" shows the WWE's allowed levels are exactly the same as the NFL. (Someone, I can't recall exactly who said it, said that the WWE allowed a 10:1 Testosterone to Epitestosterone level, which is false. We have a 4:1 level exactly like the NFL and the NBA.) In fact, I knew of someone who took an over the counter supplement from GNC which he didn't know was on the banned list, which caused him to have an elevated testosterone level. This individual was suspended and fined because of it. We can't even take Ephedrine which is another legal supplement that can be bought at any gas station in the country. Since I've been with the company, I've seen the few people that did have problems with drugs either sent to rehab to try and help them overcome their addictions, (sent to one of the top rehab facilities in the country and paid for in full by the WWE) or be fired for repeat offenses. click here for the rest

Did anyone watch TNA Impact last night? I'd love to know what happened. Spike was off the air last night on our cable system, and it drove me crazy!! I'd look up the results on their Web site today, but it's blocked by our "thought police," a.k.a. the IT Section. If nobody saw it, I'll check later on this evening at home. Duane

The Fatal Fourway match was interesting last night. But I kept thinking, these four guys are fighting for a chance to get completely disected by Umaga. It kinda put a damper on the match. Although I would LOVE for Jeff to win the title again. I was soooo disappointed that HHH wasn't returning. They got me good last night when the music started. It was priceless to see Lawler floor Booker though. Cena and Lashley is going to be a great match. I'm almost tempted to order this pay-per-view just for that match.

24wrestling.com is reporting that Edge has a torn pectoral muscle and that he is gonna drop the title. About half of the stuff they report ends up being false information. They are also have toxicology reports on the Benoit's. I don't know anything about any of these drugs. If any one does, could you post it. Thanks.

Wrestler's slain son was probably sedated, investigators say ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Investigators found testosterone, painkillers and anti-anxiety drugs in the body of professional wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and son last month before hanging himself in his Atlanta home, a medical examiner said Tuesday. Dr. Kris Sperry, Georgia's chief medical examiner, said the body of Benoit's wife, Nancy, also contained painkillers and anti-anxiety drugs. Sperry said it's likely the Benoits' 7-year-old son, Daniel, was sedated at the time he was murdered, because a high level of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax was found in the boy's system. http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/17/wrestler.murder/index.html

Did anybody catch ECW last night? Johnny Nitro had one of his "press conferences" in the ring again, which was really nothing more than a staged monologue on his part. He is now going to be known as "John Morrison"; i.e., he's going to claim that he is related to Jim Morrison of The Doors. His hair is now a dark brown and styled like Jim wore his. Plus, he's wearing the same style of open shirt that Morrison wore when he was in his heyday. Good grief! Another WWE rip-off!! Duane

He has a similar look and even talks like him somewhat. Just the other day, I was listening to the Back to the Future II commentary and one of the Bob's (forget which one) said something like, it's a rip-off if it fails, it's an homage if it succeeds.

So Cena does it again. *shakes head* I just don't know.... And what's the deal wth Hornswaggle???? Also, its a shame that neither Hardy's walked out as champions last night. And that Khali still retains.

And that Khali still retains. You mean to tell me that we've got another month of having a square-jawed goofball as Champion? AAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGHHH!!!! I'm glad that Cena did it again. There's just something appealing about him, at least to me. I especially love his attitude of respect towards the troops - it really seems genuine. I know that Chris Masters has a future b-i-l over in the Middle East (saw that on the Christmas Tour show), and Chris was pleased to be able to get in touch with him while he was there. And, of course, Lashley is a former Army dude. I wonder, though, if some of the rest of the wrestlers just go through the motions while they're there. Some of their performances seemed kinda mailed in. KWIM? Just an observation. My boss was telling me about another wrestler being found dead, although the name escapes me right now. Authorities are not ruling his death as suspicious, which means it was probably sleep apnea. And did anybody catch Mark Mero on CNN with Glen Beck over the weekend? Good grief! The guy looks like a Surgeon General's poster child on the evils of Botox therapy!! His eyebrows almost seem to be painted on - kinda like a female impersonator. You don't suppose that Johnny B. Badd has gone fruity-two-shoes on us, do ya'? Duane

I have boycotted the media over this Benoit thing. It's just the same thing over and over again. It's not going to bring Chris, Nancy and the kid back, no matter how hard they try to pin it on the WWE. Also, Mero, hasn't had a wrestling career in what? 15 years, yeah, he's the posterboy for pro wrestling. It took a minute for me to figure out that b-i-l was brother-in-law. I won't say what I thought it meant at first. Tonight there is suppose to be a championship match with all the champions wrestling. It will be Cena and Candace Michelle against Umaga and Cade and Murdoch. So in other words it will be Cena against Umaga, Cade and Murdoch. Still no definited word on a date for HHH's return although 24wrestling.com has said he will return on the August 18th edition of RAW. I can't wait. Also found a article of Shawn Michael's discussing his faith in Christ. I'll see if I can find it again and post a link: Interview: "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels conducted by Tim Quinn for In His Grip (official on-line newsletter of Ted DiBiase), July, 2002 You said that HBK dead. Then you came back to Raw as HBK. People said you contradicted yourself and criticized you for that. Care to set the record straight? Well I think that what I meant... I suppose I have to be careful cause I’m sure a lot of people who read Teddy’s sight are wrestling fans and wrestling friends are pretty literal folks when you answer something... I mostly meant that in that business I had turned into that character, almost. Not almost, I mean as much as you can without going completely crazy. But I had turned into my character and I had lost touch of who I was as a person. So when I made that remark, I meant that, for me coming back into the business - because I had been born again and I did feel reborn, the person that I was born to be - the person in Jesus Christ I was meant to be when God knew me before I was born - I just meant that the person who built this reputation in the wrestling industry, the person who was known for being difficult behind the scene was no longer alive. And that I was going to portray Shawn Hickenbottom in the ring, out of the ring, and all other times and not really rely on that character so to speak. You were brutally attacked on Raw when someone put your head into a car window. Some people thought it was a shoot and you were really hurt... Well no, of course not, I’m really fine. It was just a wrestling angle. There have been rumors that you will return to the ring, not return to the ring, head for the announcers table, etc. Now it appears you are heading for a feud with Triple H. What is the future for Shawn Michaels? Well, the day after Kevin Nash got hurt, I was on a plane and in a very deep prayer session with the Lord. And all of a sudden this idea popped into my head. And I wasn’t really sure... When I’m praying thoughts don’t normally pop into my head like that. It was an idea for a storyline and it was about me and Vince, and me ending up wrestling Vince on a PPV. And I thought well geez, I’ve been out of the business now for a number of years and just getting back and this must just be the wrestling business getting a hold of me. So I looked up something in my bible and it took me to Joshua. And the beginning of Joshua, talks about how Moses has just died and Joshua is embarking upon having to take the children of Israel to the Promised Land, and him being very scared and concerned about living up to what Moses had done in the past. But the Lord told him "be strong and courageous, I’m with you." Well I thought to myself, maybe He wants me to get back into the ring for what ever reason. I wasn’t sure if it was the Lord giving me this idea or if it was my flesh... So I just prayed about it all week and when I told my wife about it she had peace with it right away. And, any other time having to do with the wrestling business she never had peace - as far as me getting into the ring - she hasn’t been comfortable with it. So we prayed about it for about a week and eventually I just mentioned the idea to Vince. And he then thought about it for a week and then he got back to me and said "I like it but I don’t want it to be me, I want it to be Hunter". So we went with this other story line and the end result is yeah, there is a good possibility I’m going to get in the ring. But it has nothing to do with me personally. I feel, to me, this getting in the ring is a testimony to God. Because in four years I haven’t felt confidence, I felt like I lost it, I don’t think my body can handle it, but in this process I feel very confident that He’s going to take care of me in this match. So that’s the only reason I’m doing it. I don’t know, I have no idea what His will is, obviously. But, I believe that this is a message that He sent me, that He wanted me to do it for whatever reason. So I’m going to do it, and I’m going to be confident in doing it. And I’m as excited as everybody else to see what happens. So, basically are you thinking just the one match or is that up to the Lord....? Oh, absolutely - no farther than that, that’s the one thing - as I said the only reason I’m thinking about that is because He gave it to me. And there’s absolutely no indication that He wants anymore than that and I’m not doing anything in my life if I don’t feel it’s what God wants me doing. click here for the rest of the article

So, Randy Orton finally got his number one contender spot for the title. I do want Cena to eventually lose the title, it's just a shame that its going to happen with Orton gaining it. I really don't like him. But apparently, HHH is going to be feuding with Orton all through the fall and winter according to 24wrestling.com so maybe that means that HHH will soon be the champ. If that's the plan I guess I can live with it. So, is Jeff Hardy courting death with his attack on Umaga during the champions match? Hardy is without a doubt one my favorite wrestlers, but I don't think he stands much of a chance against Umaga.

Hornswagel is the new Cruiserweight champion, not intercontental unless I missed something on Smackdown Friday night. So anyone watching RAW tonight? Think Lawler has a chance?

Randy Orton is #1 contender, and also kicked Sgt. Slaughter in the head giving him a "concussion". Lawler won against King Booker witha disqualication, and then chased KB into the back whooping on him. Cena got defeated by Carlito, due to interference on Orton's part, and I would say that's about it. Tonight Mr. McMahon make's his return to RAW. So we'll see what happens. Oh, and the rumor mill is in full swing in regards to Jeff Hardy. He apparently was a no-show last Monday night, and the card had to be changed being that he was supposed to have a match with Umaga. So Umaga had to turn face and come out and face Santino Morello. Rumors from the WWE state that Jeff has been suspended for 30 days due to "a lack of maturity." Jeff's website states that he wrenched his neck and back two weeks ago and is out due to that. Regardless, Jeff will not be at Summerslam which is a bummer. Whatever happens, I hope Jeff comes back soon. He's quickly becoming my favorite.
