The art of composing movie scores or soundtracks seems to be a vanishing art. I sometimes will watch a movie and pay particularly close attention to the film score. I've listed below some of my most favorite scores: "Star Wars"--- John Williams "Z"--- Mikis Theodorakis "The Shoes of The Fisherman"---Alex North "Born Free" ---John Barry "Out of Africa"---John Barry "The Sting"---Marvin Hamlish "A Fist Full of Dollars" & "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly"--- Ennio Morricone "Patton" ---Jerry Goldsmith "The Lord of The Rings" trilogy ---Howard Shore "THe Great Escape"---Elmer Bernstein "Pride & Prejudice"---Dario Marianelli "Chariots of Fire"---Vangelis "Shakespeare In Love"---Stephen Warbeck What are some of yours?

Lord of the Rings~Howard Shore Finding Nemo~Thomas Newman Pride and Prejudice (2005)~Dario Marianelli The Passion of the Christ~John Debney Soudtracks are often neglected, but are so important to the emotion of a movie...it's a common joke with me and my sister that once we watch a movie, we'll want the soundtrack, the score....

Blade Runner I also like the Star Trek themes and sound tracks. Got to see Robert Picardo and John D'Lance narrate Star Trek Music with Conductor Erik Kunssel with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra the other night. It was hillarious and the music was wonderful

Star Wars has to be the best score ever. Batman (Danny Elfman) is pretty catchy. Nightmare Before Christmas is also. Robin Hood, PoT was well done. Master and Commander has an excellent soundtrack. Though I don't listen to secular music with lyrics much anymore, Back to the Future was a fun soundtrack :)
