Your Honor, I think what we have here is simply a coincidence, and while I generally do not put much stock in coincidence, I cannot come up with another way to account for the situation...unless perhaps it is the old acorn about know-it-alls of a feather flocking together. I think the title of the thread drew Kuku like a moth to a flame, if you want my opinion, which you probably don't, but right now it is all I have to offer, so there you have it.
Any similarities between Kerrlaw, Kuku and the cow to any real person, living or dead, is probably also a coincidence, so the Court should remember that while the quality of mercy is not strained, the quantity can be, like cold brewed coffee, and Your Honor should dismiss the case entirely and send us all to Starbucks.
 Give yourself some stars.

Ok, just for you, I'll add a little serious- before returning to my 'other me'.
CW is a part of my story. I was in a setting where people, especially Christians, were in a box. I found forums through a friend, and began to have 'normal' people to help keep me from falling any farther into that thought process. Through my time here, I have learned, changed, and grown. I have also learned to look a little deeper at people, since you have to 'look at them' differently on-line.
I never would have dreamed of actually getting to know them IRL, but now, after one GT, several squashed birds (and cows), birds in a tube, and stereo photography, I have learned even more about accepting people as they are.
PS- The pastor responded (after a beat) with, "And I'm almost there."

A year or two ago, my pastor challenged us to come up with a short (100 words or so) "my story", so that we would be ready with it to present to someone about what Christ has done in our lives. This thread reminded me of that. Here it is:
I always thought I was okay on my own. Moral, ethical, generous, kind, and all that. But when someone took major advantage of my kindness, my world went into a tailspin. Hey, not fair! That’s not the way it was supposed to happen! After all, I was a good person! How did I let that happen to me? Why did I let that happen to me? That’s when I started looking for answers. And I found myself back at the church I never should have left. Gradually, in the arms of Christ, I found my answers, and was able to forgive not only myself, but even my “advantage-taker”!
Coming up with this was tough, because I wasn't a "bad" person before Christ (BC). But then I realized there was a "before" and "after":
Before – Confident – until something awful happens
After – Confident – ALWAYS!
That before and after is one blessing. And the other is that after the tailspin, I have no real idea why I turned to the church. It could only have been a God-thing. Another blessing!

One blessing that I would like to share today is my trike!!!
It was actually damaged in transit when I moved last October & November, but at the time I didn't realize that.
For the first couple of weeks after I got it (after the move), I would have to pump air in the front tire everytime I wanted to ride it. One day, I couldn't even pump any air at all into it.
Without going into a very complicated and long-drawn out story, I haven't been able to use it since mid-November. Truthfully, I wouldn't have used it during the winter months anyway (cold, wind and racing down hills does not sound like an experience I'd like to have).
Last week, I received my tires and tubes that I had recently purchased online, but had not got around to putting on my trike.
My landlady, her husband and her parents were here this past week (staying in a rental house near me). My landlady's husband enthusiastically offered to do the labor for me and I very happily accepted.
My trike now has 3 brand new tubes and brand new tires on it (and I like these tires MUCH better anyway; they're just a bit bigger than my other ones).
SO!!! Now I have my transportation (AND my freedom) again! 
That is a HUGE blessing to me.
except . . . my landlord was so impressed with my trike that I may hafta keep an extra eye peeled to make sure he doesn't come back and take it in the middle of the night. He "test-drove" it a lot this past weekend.

Sorry I hadn't posted in a while but that is how it is on this work rotation I am on. So here goes it. In the winter of 1979 My family was at a singing at a Church called Chestuee Baptist. I don't remember much except someone talked about Hell and how to avoid it. Then they sang The Old Ship of Zion. It was the 1st time conviction was felt in my heart. That's something alot of Churches are missing is conviction. Anyways Mom and Dad just knew and asked me if I wanted to be saved and for whatever reason I said I was fine. I was lying thru my teeth. But my Mom was straight with me and she said son God doesn't have to deal with you like this again. He may or may not. Now that might seem harsh but I'll never forget what it did to me. I didn't get saved that night but it always stuck with me. In March of 1980 a preacher was preaching on which thief would you be? I couldn't sit still and usually mom would've popped me one but she was sensitive to the Holy Spirit. When the altar call was given my sister went to the altar and I just laid my head on the pew. The preacher came to me and said"Son don't you want to get saved?" This time I couldn't resist. I went to the altar and I cried out God I don't want to die and go to Hell I'm sorry Save me save me save me I don't remember how many times I said save me but I said till He did. The preacher that night was my Father but I didn't get saved cause he was preaching I got saved cause God called my name and I answered. God had to chastise me when I was 19 and some people don't believe in that anymore but I'm glad He loved me enough not to leave me where I was but to whip me in Love and bring me home. He's been better to me than I've been to myself and more than I deserve. My wife used to sing Gospel Music full time in the late 80's and could still do it today but says she'd rather sing with me and raise our children. I don't know what to make of that I tell you, but I know I am blessed with her as my wife and sure am unworthy of her. Sorry I got long winded. One more thing. When my wife was pregnant with our daughter they (the doctors) told us that she they couldn't be sure of her health and that they believed she had down syndrome. They asked us if we wanted an abortion and we said no. If God wanted things that way he would equip us to raise her and we told God we were willing to. We didn't know till she was born about her health but she was perfect in every way Paise God. Sorry so long but you get me talking like this and I can't shut up. Some other time I will talk about how the Lord has allowed me to help in other countries spreading His Love and Gospel. THank you I needed this. Let the redeemed say so!

In 2000 my wife and I were having maritial problems. We had a one year old daughter. It got so bad that we split up. I was also working in law enforcement at the time, just as I am now. We were not going to church, even though I had been raised in church my whole life. On Independance Day holiday weekend I was involved in a vehicle accident at a speed of approximately 110 MPH in my patrol car while responding to a shooting. I walked out of that accident with a scratch on my wrist and my right shoe was sliced across the top...from what I never figured out. The vehicle was unrecognizable. It hit a ditch sideways and flipped through four residential yards. They took me to the hospital to be checked out because of the speeds involved, but I was okay. I called my sister to come pick me up from the hospital. She said she would come, but instead called my wife. My wife showed up a little while later. When she came into the hospital we both just lost it. We hugged and cried for the longest time.
We left from there and drove to the lot where they had towed my vehicle. When we pulled up my wife lost it all over again. I know that I should have never walked out of that accident. My parents were visiting from out of state that week because of the holiday. As a matter of fact the accident occurred about 2 miles from my sister's house where they were staying. They had heard the firetrucks and ambulance drive by earlier. My wife drove me over to their house and that's when it got heated. See, I had to face my dad. He let me hold it ya'll...but out of love. He told me how I needed to grow up and how I needed to get my life right with God. We all drove back to the lot and looked at the car together. My dad told me that God allowed me to live through this accident because he wanted to use me for something great. Pride hurts, but truth is a lot harder on the body.
The next day found me sitting in a new church...with my wife and the rest of my family. My wife had been going to the church for a while during our seperation and the whole church had been praying for me the whole time. I was raised in church, but I got to know Jesus that morning on a personal basis. After much counseling from the pastor and his wife, my wife and I decided to give it a second chance. Six months had passed so it was very difficult. That was almost eight years ago!!!! The Lord has blessed us so much since that time. He has revealed my passion for singing. We have another child. We bought our first house almost three years ago. He put me and my wife into better jobs making more money. I could go on and on. The Lord is so good.
If anyone is having problems that they think is unfixable, ask me what I think. I have seen God take this man out of the bars on the weekends and put him on stage witnessing to people that are going through hard times themselves. I am so passionate about southern gospel and what I feel God wants me to do. I guess that is one reason why I have been known to post things on here that are not always popular with everyone else. I could tone it down a little, but I have always been outspoken when it involves something that bothers me. I just pray that I don't offend when my intention is to defend.
