Please pray for my 23yr old daughter N, and her husband R. They seem to have had a stable, happy marriage for the last 2 years, but something is going wrong now. N is a Christian but doesn't attend church, and her husband has a Catholic background and believes in God but is not born-again as far as I know. He is a lovely guy though who loves N very much. N has said to me that it is all her that is the problem and not him. They have a 1 yr old girl.

N has taken on a lot recently, with going back to fulltime work, buying a new house and taking on other hefty financial responsibility. I wonder if everything is getting on top of her.

In any case, the Lord knows. Please pray for their family.

Father God, thank You that You know all about this. I lift N, R and wee K up to You and ask You to move and intervene in whatever is happening. Draw tham all into Your fold, dear Lord. I ask You to help them with their marriage, and to help them work through any issues. I pray that this current time would result in them being closer and stronger in their marriage, and I ask You to protect their marriage, to place a hedge around both of them and their wee girl. Please preserve and save their souls Father in all of this, that they not become discouraged and give up. I especially pray for R Lord that he would come to You in all this, and for N that her faith be kindled into a fire that doesn't go out.

I ask these things in Jesus Name

Thank you Lord that You are faithful to Your children. I pray that You will bring this daughter back to where You desire her to be spiritually. I pray that You will be gracious to her husband and bring Him to Yourself. I thank you for a praying mother who understands the importance of walking with You and I pray this motherly example will produce a blessing on this family. Lord, I know that You love each of these individuals and I pray you will intervene to bring this family into spiritual unity. I also pray for this child, that You will calim her for Your own and protect her and bless her during this stressful time in her parent's lives. Thank You for Your answer to this prayer. May You be glorified and praised in this situation.

Keabird, I do agree with you in prayer and I also pray for the salvation of your son-in-law.

Finally talked to my daughter. She is okay, very cheerful in fact. Seems she has lost interest in her marriage, due to issues on both sides, and wants some time on her own to work things out for herself. I suggested marriage counselling but she said she is not even sure if she wants to work on it. Apparently there is someone else who has caught her interest, but she is not involved with them.

I mentioned that a year ago I would have said she had a very stable marriage and she agreed. I asked what changed. She isn't sure, but it does seem to stem from a certain time when certain things happened with their in-laws, so it seems to me that there have been hurts and unresolved issues. She's also finding out that her expectations of married life and her husband's are quite different.

In any case, they definitely need prayer.

Dear Lord I pray that you would draw this couple closer together and closer to you. Lord draw he man of this family closer to you. Give his a thirst that only you can fill Lord. Enable the wife to only have eyes for her husband just like when they first met. And protect the precious baby from all seen and unseen dangers.

Praying for their marriage also. I know how hurtful in law issues can be...one of the reasons I was separated from my husband a few years back. Praying that you will know how best to guide her also.
