Well, Donna, I would like to see them together sometime! I would definitely like to see GV anyway! Even if it's just them alone!

Speaking of Pianorama, will this continue to be released on DVD???

Also, I thought I remember a bass singer sing off, was that ever put on DVD?

Parts of the Bass Singer Competition were on last year's highlights DVD. They didn't have that particular event this year.

The two groups really are good together. I look forward to their Roswell Street date every year. This year they're making it into the "remembering" event as well which just means they'll add Mark Trammell and his group as well as Danny Funderfurk. Should be lots of fun. We saw what I think was the original "remembering" concert in Birmingham in March of 2006.

But why not just listen to the Goodmans?

Do it! But for those of us unfortunate enough to have never heard the Goodmans at all, let alone in their days with Sam and Rusty, we appreciate the opportunity to hear a group doing the songs like they did them in the old days.

OK, I can get the idea when you're talking about live music.

OK, thanks!

That was too bad...I would've loved to have seen it, especially with a different emcee who got all the bass singers together at the same time to see who could actually sing the lowest notes!

It really wasn't a competition after all!! It was just for fun. It ended up just having a bunch of groups sing songs with their bass featured. And then when the "vote" was done, a bass from the past was picked. Sorry - I don't remember the name.

I don't have time this morning to scan all 10 pages in this thread to see if this was addressed. So if it has, could someone reply to tell me what page it was discussed on?

Anyway, I have 3 tapes that GV released in 1991: "You Can Have A Song" (??) , "On A Journey" , and "Share It With Jesus"
On the latter two, 8 songs are found on both recordings.
I Need A Miracle
Share It With Jesus
New Wine
In The Shelter Of His Arms
I Will Glorify Him
Feeling At Home
The Eyes Of Jesus
The Love That Lifts Me.
The only differences are that "On A Journey" contains as the 7th song "On A Journey" and as the 10th "I Sing The Mighty Power". "Share It With Jesus" has "God Will Make A Way" as the 7th, and "Make Me A Blessing" as the 10th. Everything else on the 2 tapes are in the exact same song order.
Why did they release almost duplicate recordings? Ideas anyone?

Sorry about the delay... "youngartist" was correct. This has been a very busy week for me.
Greater Vision never released a recording called "Share It With Jesus". That is actually a song title from our first recording "On A Journey". We actually recorded "On A Journey" and "You Can Have A Song" around the same time, then Benson (Riversong) picked up the "On A Journey" recording as our first release for them in early 1991. "You Can Have A Song" was only available on cassette and has never been released as a CD, but I'm seriously considering doing that sometime next year.

If you have a tape called "Share It With Jesus"... you're in trouble! lol

PLEASE release that on CD! We have the cassette and it doesn't play anymore ... I mean, it plays but you all sound kind of wobbly on both ends of both sides. And I'm sure you don't want that ...

I just looked on Amazon and then froogle.google for "The King Came Down," which I would like to be next on my list. There is one for $17 on Amazon, and on the other they range from $26-$59.90!!!

In a little more than 10 hours I will be sitting back and enjoying watching the guys in concert!

And yes, I will be reminding Gerald that he pretty much promised to sing two songs I requested!
