We took a trip backward Friday night and watched the "Kentucky, Live" video. I think it was made in 1999. "Fire On the Stage" is on the same dvd, but we did not take time to watch it, yet. I am not sure when we got that dvd or why we had not watched it before. I think we got it as a concert special either a year ago, at the GV reunion concert at Dix, IL, or last Feb at the GV concert in Marion, IL. It is always interesting to see how much a group or their people have changed. (Not personnel, just changes in the same people.)

Really enjoyed both Kentucky Live and Fire on Stage. I think it's on one of those that Gerald first told the Rodney/train trip/banana joke! The guys looked really young, didn't they?

I just got Everyday People. I've listened to it once, and may I please submit as my humble opinion that, at least for once, I agree with Kerr. I already had bought songs #1 & #10 on iTunes, not being able to handle delayed gratification at all, as I have said, when it comes to SG music. This album has the super-quality of their more recent albums, along with the - should I say freshness? - of their older ones.

My favorite song on that CD is "God Will Pass By." In fact, I'll be seeing GV tomorrow night and I e-mailed Gerald Wolfe and asked if they could work that song into their program. And this is sooooo funny. Gerald wrote back (in TRUE "geezer" fashion)... quote:
Be sure to remind one of us before the concert. I'll sleep between now and then and just might forget... again! LOL I just love his sense of humor!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing it. One thing I really like about SG music is that it can, among other things, minister to a hurting heart. I've spent most of today at the hospital with a friend who appears to be on her deathbed. I'm counting on the music to encourage me tonight! I know it will! Especially "God Will Pass By."

I read about that new project too Donna. Hopefully they will be selling it at the L5 Memorial Day weekend celebration which is the next time I will get to see GV.
