Really? We were at that concert, too! Dinana, Jim C and I were on the front row. Jim is the person that Gerald asked about the Easter egg that rolled down the aisle to the front!!

Jeff_from_Kentucky -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/22/2007 12:01:33 AM)

If things work out, my son and I will get to see Greater Vision again on October 7 in Wilmington, Ohio! It is a Sunday evening concert and I have to make sure that someone at our church can cover audio/visual for me that night so I can go. If I get to go, I will definitely get their Everyday People CD!

And probably a few others too! [:D]

dcampbell -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/22/2007 7:44:58 AM)

We will be going to Bensonville Il. Oct 6 and then Normal Il Nov 16 then our concert will be the last Sat in Feb. 2008..Missed NQC this year[:(] Donna

AmyR -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/22/2007 3:08:20 PM)

Hey, does anyone know who produced the Everyday People album? I'm just wondering if it's still Lari Goss. I downloaded their single from iTunes.

geraldwolfe -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/24/2007 4:06:43 PM)

I hope you like the new CD... since I was the producer this time! lol
Lari Goss did the track arranging and, since he's the greatest Gospel studio musician in histroy (my personal opinion), he played the piano on the tracks too.

If you like the song you purchased from iTunes, I hope you get a chance to get the entire CD. I like iTunes, but in this case, you're missing out on some great, and very funny, photos from the CD insert.

Thanks for all the great comments in this thread. I don't get a chance to log in often, but it's great to know we have friends like you.

jchaz -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/24/2007 4:11:51 PM)

Hey, Gerald! Thanks for the info. Hope ya'll had a great day yesterday with Dr, Stanley... I also heard that ya'll were at Glen Haven last night. Hate that i don't get to see ya'll much anymore, since taking the MOM position here at Sharon Baptist in Marietta, GA. Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi!", and that you guys are real blessing. I won't EVER forget the great service we shared with you guys and The Hoppers one night right down the road at Central BC several years ago. What a great meeting it was! Take care...Post often as you can.

L5FanLady -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/24/2007 4:12:18 PM)

Seeing your post, Gerald, reminded me there's something very important I have to do......

.......and it involves you! LOL[;)]

geraldwolfe -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/24/2007 11:43:43 PM)

By the way... the quilt from Donna is a piece of art! I'm sure she had no idea, until I told her after she presented it, that the colors match the interior colors of our bus. I'm sure there are many many hours of hand stitching involved in the quilt, which makes it even more special. Thanks again!!!

Now... about that "retirement home" comment...! lol

Gerald,

I got the CD at NQC but it was this past weekend before I 'really' got to listen to it. I had it in the van and there were always folks in there talking and stuff while it played in the backgroud. But having listened, it has joined the ranks of the 'frequent players' in my van (Karen's 'Joy for the Journey', Gold City 'Revival' and Perrys' 'Look No Further' are the other frequent played alongwith Hoppers 'The Ride').

I haven't decided on a favorite yet because there isn't a bad cut on the CD. I love that you pulled out a copy of 'old favorites' - "I Just Came to Talk to You Lord" and "Too Much to Gain to Lose" are some of my all-time favorite songs and you did an AWESOME job on them!

I know I give you 'grief' a lot but man, you nailed it on this CD!!!!! I've walked around all day yesterday humming the tunes from it!

Most CDs I get, I listen a time or two, go back to my 'frequent players' and pull out occasionally on long trips to break the monotany of listening to the same CDs when travelling 3 hours or more. I can't see this one ever falling into that category!

dcampbell -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/25/2007 8:00:51 AM)

Hi Gerald,
I got to listen to mine a few times before Bill and Mr. Stipp took it to the radio station. Last time I will see that one[;)] but I agree with Dee its Great! I love It Means Just What It Says and I can't get that song out of my head. I was taking Jacob to school the other morning and after playing that song over and over in my head all night I could hear it in the car and REMEMBER I don't have the Cd anymore. As I'm looking around quietly I discover he has it on his Ipod. So it was stuck in my head the rest of the day too. Thank you Mr. Griffin! See you guys in Bensonville.. Donna

Dinana -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/25/2007 8:03:23 AM)

At this point, I think "It Means Just What It Says" has to be a contender for next year's song of the year! Love that song!

That's the second time in 12 hours that someone has called me terrible.

I could get an inferiority complex.[sm=worried.gif]

Popsky -> RE: Just Everyday People--The Greater Vision Thread (9/25/2007 9:12:47 AM)

I received this CD in the mail a few days ago. I am enjoying every song on it--both the upbeat numbers and the ballads. The one that has spoken to me the most is "You Can." What a powerful message in song! And what a powerful truth.

Keep up "God's work," Greater Vision. We love you!
