I'm going to the Cathedrals remembered concerts in Jan and very much looking forward to it. Every time I've tried to go in the past something has come up. Hopefully this time I can make it!

You can go to www.curringtonpromotions.com and there is a link to contact they could tell you if they have anything coming up that is closer but isn't on the site yet.

Hey Gerald, any plans in the works to do another piano CD???? I am on my third CD, just play them till they start to skip. How bout one of ALL old hymns?????

Do you have Keys to Quiet Places?

YES!!!!! That's the one I wore two out! In all honesty, it is time for a new song selection, but that won't stop me from listening to it. That CD sits right next to Roger's Midnight Meditations.

As a matter of fact, I am just starting to think about songs for a new instrumental recording. I hope to get it finished in early 2008. Any suggestions?

I will get back to ya!

You all are not going to believe who I met tonight.

I went to a Dixie Melody Boys concert at North View Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Ohio. The pastor there is a man named Jeff Griffin, Rodney Griffin's father!

He told me to tell Rodney hello for him when I see GV next weekend!

That's pretty cool!!!!

I was always touched when Rodney tells about his dad getting saved. What a testimony!

I knew Rodney's dad was a pastor and someone told me he was at a church somewhere in Ohio but I had no idea it was at the one I went to tonight until I got there and Ed O'Neal mentioned it. As it turned out, I talked to Rodney's dad on the phone earlier this week when I called the church to ask some questions about the concert but I didn't know it was him at the time.

Maybe some other suggestions, too? Many group members have solo CDs. I'm 'bout to wear out "Hold Forth the Light." Any chance y'all would consider some solo CDs? That would be awesome and each person could sing their favorites!

I just received my copies of the "Everyday People" CD and "Chicago Live" DVD. All I can say is -- WOW! What a blessing they are to me. GV has always been one of my favorite groups, but they may have just pulled into the lead with these projects.

I am thrilled to see a group of younger guys who have not given in to what seems to be a trend of groups "re-inventing" themselves by becoming "Progressive" in order to attract younger audiences. When I'm at a GV concert, I always sense that they actually like all ages of people in their audiences and not just the 40 and under crowd. They're smart enough to know that the 55+ folks will support them in attendance as well as financially, if needed, more readily than younger people who do not always have the means to do so. I also think that they realize that people's tastes tend to become more traditional as they mature -- it's just a fact of life. They will always have an enthusiastic audience.

Thanks again GV!

OK, you guys! So he's not a "kid" anymore. But he's younger than some of us -- and I won't name any names!

Recently I was told by my all-time favorite singer (who is about the same age as Gerald) that I probably enjoyed the original Statesmen and Blackwoods -- and I'm only 60 and do not have gray hair yet!! It's humbling when you realize how "younger" people see you!

I noticed that phrase myself! GV's new favorite fan just arrived, I think! (But actually, I don't disagree at all.)

Thanks so much for all the compliments... and for referring to me as "young"! It sure beats some of the earlier age-related comments in this thread! lol

Seriously, I really appreciate your insight and opinions regarding traditional Gospel music. I believe you are absolutely right.

I hope you can make it this time! All of the concerts we've done in this series have been really, really good. There are a few other dates already scheduled in 2008, including Spartanburg, SC and Winston-Salem, NC. Both of those will be the last weekend in June.

Gerald, do you think GV will sing again with L5 sometime? Or is that over now that Roger's gone?

Also, how do you think Pianorama went??

I'm certainly gonna do my best to make the Spartanburg one, that's my neighborhood! What date is that one? Most of June is open for me so far.

I'm putting it on my calendar now. I'll definitely be in Spartanburg and probably WS too. Depends on which one is on Friday night (it's a longer drive to WS from here).

Evening to Remember has GV, LF, MTT and Danny Funderburk at all of them.

Oh and Gerald I am thinking about Birmingham to celebrate my birthday but sure about that one yet.

Tina, I seriously doubt that Roger's being gone would effect whether GV sings with L5! GV is usually with L5 in Marietta, GA on the first Friday in January every year (that's where I first saw them "live") and I'm looking forward to seeing them together again!
