I heard them at their debut last Thursday. Here's what I wrote in the recent concerts thread: The Prophets - Their debut appearance. These guys really know what they're doing and I really enjoyed hearing them. These old pros include Ed Hill, Bill Baise, Mike Allen, and newcomer to the Southern Gospel quartet stage, Paul Jackson. They shared emcee duties somewhat except for Mike Allen. They have a wonderful, full harmony sound. They are what I would call very traditional. I loved their sound and would love seeing them again. I'll be getting their CD when it comes out.

quote:
ORIGINAL: Dinana Hey, Daniel. I'm watching it now and the video does freeze up at 20:30 even though the audio continues. Is that what you were asking me about yesterday? Yes, that's right around the same place it was freezing for me--somewhere right before the start of their final song.

Thanks for the kind words. We only sang four tunes at our little cameo debut. We were pretty limited in what our management allowed us to do. What an honor to sing 2 Prophet's tunes from the 50's & 60's. Esp the Lari Goss tune...with Lari in the second row! I did'nt see him sitting right behind my wife until half way through our stand. We love his song: "Love Like the Sun"... Fan Festival was a very intimate venue. All the guys seemed to enjoy it. A full made for TV Debut Concert will be coming soon. Information will be posted at my blog and the TPQ web site will be up soon. www.prophetsquartet.com Thanks again! Paul Jackson / The Prophets www.pauljacksongroup.com/blog

PJ / The Prophets ps...would you like to be on Prophets e-mail list? if so, e-mail me at: pauljackson7@sbcglobal.net

Welcome to the forums Paul. I agree with robertyork it is nice to see some gray hair back on the stage again. Good luck to the Prophets. Keep on keeping on.

Thank you Qtman! We appreciate the good wishes and your prayers. We are all in the mature set. We have one in his 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. I am looking forward to where God will lead us to spread His "Love Like The Sun"...I'm even more excited where He's going to send our music via all the modern technologies! I see now why Daniel M invited me here. God bless you for taking the time to encourage an old Gospel singer! PJ / The Prophets www.pauljacksongroup.com/blog

Amen qtman! Hey I noticed your "Crimson tide" label...will you be at Tusc when my AR Hogs and the #5 MacAttack comes to town in Sept? ...or do you mix football with your music? This is something that The Prophets are not unified in. Pray for us! PJ

I have season tickets but do not always get to go to every game. I have to help my wife take care of her parents and that takes a lot of my weekends right now. Don't let Kerrlaw1 know you are a razorback fan. He is a die hard Vols fan. And we do talk football on here occasionally. I imagine Kerrlaw and I will go head to head around the third Saturday in October.
