Please pray for James Burleson (former member of the Melody Boys). James is in his 70's and has been in a 2 year battle with cancer.

Relatives of his have advised me that he has been transferred to hospice care. James followed his gospel career with stints as Music Minister in some very fine churches. He currently lives in Bryant, AR. A few years back James sponsored (with help) some Arkansas Gospel Music Conventions. They were outstanding events.

James is listed on the roster of AR singers at this thread.

Paul, praying for the family and also for you. We went through something similar a couple of years ago. 6 family members and close friends in a matter of a couple of months. It is very hard!

Thanks DeeAnn and L5MAN...I appreciate your prayers. Just returned (tonight) from Vancouver where we conducted a very special Memorial service for our dear ministry friend. Conducting another Memorial service (at our church in AR) this Saturday. Will return to my own blogging soon. Have been involved with 5 Funerals/deaths since last Wednesday. Also, will post some Prophets news at the Prophets thread here in the forum.

I was in Vancouver, B.C. conducting funeral services for one of my AR church members, who was being buried there in their family plot. James' service was held at Geyer Springs' First Baptist Church. I understand that it was a glorious service.

CALLING ALL HOG FANS!!!! You Gospel singin', catfish eatin', Hog Callin' RAZORBACK FANS!!!!
Razorback Basketball is ALIVE and WELL! Way to beat those Dawgs from Starkville, MS...78-58!!! Big win for our old team and our young coach!

Anybody willing to pick the Pigs over the Gators...this Saturday at 2pm (central) ?

On an SG note: We were glad to have Jason Crabb in Little Rock this past Sunday. the concert was at 11am...I was unable to attend due to my own church service (they like the pastor to be there when he's in town)...but I know some folks were excited about having Jason. Not sure he will be in AR again this year.
