ORIGINAL: pauljackson OK...hogfan...I have waited 2 days for the Ole Sissy, I mean Ole Miss fan to visit again. You know in recent years Miss has had more singers than ball players...some pretty good singers in fact. But hogfan we better be kind. We have to go to the Grove this year...I was there 2 years ago when Casey completed those 11 or 12 passes in a row in the second half to help us pull out the win in spite of the fact that they pretty much shut down #5 that beautiful saturday afternoon. Yeh...are you gonna meet me at The Grove this year?...how about NQC? man i would love to meet you down in oxford...unfortunatly our schedule doesn't allow it :( one of my good friends from college is a fan of the rebs, and we were gonna go with a bunch of other friends but i can't make it :( the only gamr i could go to if i wanted is the auburn game oct 13, but i know for a fact i'm not going :S you're right, it's good to be kind...but i love my hogs way to much to be nice to the opponent lol all in good christian fun of course!! but it is sad when 9 of 12 SEC teams go to bowl games and the state of mississippi couldn't get one in...NOT ONE!!! the other team left out was vandy and they were a better team than what there schedule stated...just ask houston nutt and all the gator fans ;) oh boy u got me ramblin lol...go hogs!!!! woo pig sooie!! but yeah i'll cya at nqc!! lookin forward to it!! hogfan...I was at that Vandy game last September in Nashville. You remember. It was the game we won when the famous puff of air blew and helped us make sure Vandy missed a long field goal at the end of the game! what a win!! ANYWAY, it was the day after our first rehearsal as the revived Prophets Quartet. Johnny Minick had scheduled the singing time around my schedule (since I am the only one that does not live in the Nashville area)...and I had planned to be in Music City to see the Hogs that weekend...SO he got us together at his church on Friday (the day before the game)...as a result, it will always be easy to remember the first time I ever sang with these guys. A LITTLE PROPHETS' TRIVIA ANYONE ? It was pretty special. They let me choose the first song we sang in that rehearsal...that was cool. Anybody want to try and guess what tune it was?...I'll give you a hint. It was a great song...a standard in my opinion...made popular by The Happy Goodmans...everyone new it well. I know it sounds corny, but we all had goose bumps as we sang together for the first time. Johnny was grinning from ear to ear (not his typical style) and Michael Sykes exploded with excitement (his typical style). It was quite a moment!...Can you guess the song? PS...hogfan, it will be good to meet you at NQC! I posted TPQ's appearance schedule at The Prophets thread. hey paul, i was at that game as well...the saturday after nqc! lol i left lousiville a day early to get down there and tailgate for the game...if you sat in the visitors section, you probably saw me...me and 3 friends had our shirts off and we were painted red with white letters, we had HOGS written across our chests!!! there is actually an espn commercial that advertised the capital one bowl with us in it haha...if you go to www.myspace.com/tannerstahl you'll see the commercial, i have it paused on me for a second or two lol...it's awesome!! and my main pic at the top of the page is me and a buddy at mississppi state a few years ago when we won 24-21...good times...least night at our concert in searcy, ark, the freemans along with my northern quartet friends of sould out got to experience a true hog call and then they did it themselves! what a time!
