KingsmenQuartetFan -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (5/9/2008 11:07:09 PM)

What type of group would you see yourself being a part of if God opened the door?

Mixed Group? Trio? Quartet? Male Quartet

Would that be Traditional SG? Progressive? Middle-of the road? Bluegrass? I guess, traditional(old Kingsmen style) and maybe a little bit progressive(new Kingsmen style)

And of course, what part would you want to sing? I would want to sing Bass

Oh... would you like helping MC? Be the group goof? The straight man? Straight man, but I like to aggravate and cut up just as well, not the loud type[:D]

Sounds about like Ray Reese[:D] If I ever start a QT I think I would hire you[;)]

OK, this is what I am thinking:

What type of group would you see yourself being a part of if God opened the door?

Mixed Group? Trio? Quartet? Male Quartet all the way (who wants to sing with a girl[:'(] JK JK)

Would that be Traditional SG? Progressive? Middle-of the road? Bluegrass? I must agree with Josh, traditional (old Kingsmen style) and some good progressive like (the new Kingsmen) And styles like Gold City (I love them)

And of course, what part would you want to sing? The problem is I would want to sing all 4 parts[8D]

Oh... would you like helping MC? Be the group goof? I would be a goof and not a goof. I could see myself being a MC, but not at firsrt.

I was there, I saw it happen. I feel sorry for the poor guy, just one little comment and he was brutally attacked. LOL

AngelInWaiting1983 -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (5/10/2008 5:49:57 PM)

I wouldn't call it "brutal".

He's still alive isn't he?

O, he had it coming[:D] just don't pick on me[;)]

Speaking of him I have a question for him. Tyler does your family group have a CD I could buy?

KingsmenQuartetFan -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (5/10/2008 8:28:46 PM)

Thank You sir[:D][:D] I have been told by several "older" folks at different churches that my singing sounds like Ray Dean's singing[:D][:D]

youngartist -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/4/2008 5:21:04 PM)

Whoa, hello guys - I'm WAY out of the loop! People are asking me questions and I'm ignoring them because they're not important (translated: I missed reading the thread - LOL) [8D][:D]

Taking these important questions one at a time [:D][;)]. Kingsmen-fan, I'm glad you feel sorry for me - I'll take all the respect I can gather when dealing with feline--I mean females. [:D]

I'll PM you (and anyone else) with info about our family's cds. Thanks for your interest.

MattPaasch -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/4/2008 5:34:21 PM)

Wow.... I wondered if this thread was going to come back! Where has everyone been? What's been going on?

I've been busy lately. Not just at work, but at home as well!

I'm glad I have an iPod.... otherwise I'd be have a fit. (iPods are great to have while doing housework and mowing a lawn!)

youngartist -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/4/2008 5:35:45 PM)

Ipods are great to listen to law-school lectures while you're at work. [:D]

On another note: It's been POURING down rain here like I haven't lately seen! Thunderstorms like MAD!!

MattPaasch -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/4/2008 5:54:39 PM)

Yeah... we had some storms come close early this morning (12am). The winds were up to 107 MPH! Thankfully, it missed us by a few miles north. But the sirens were a pain to listen to for an hour! I'm just glad my kids weren't awakened by the noise!

It made me tired for the rest of the day!

youngartist -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/5/2008 11:51:49 AM)

Wow - yea it's been wild out there.

Hey guys, you know, just cause I hadn't checked this thread in a month doesn't mean you should follow my example! [:D]

sunshinesoprano -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/5/2008 1:13:20 PM)

Just thought I'd stop in and say hello!

youngartist -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/5/2008 2:58:53 PM)

Hello! Seems like no one else (other than Matt and I) are breathing oxygen right now! [:)]

MattPaasch -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/5/2008 5:57:13 PM)

I know Noah is alive, I've seen him post a bit here-and-there, just not in this thread lately.

I guess everyone has been busy!

Are there no more "young folks" interested in posting anymore?

Amerigrandpa -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/5/2008 6:39:32 PM)

How about young folks at heart?

AngelInWaiting1983 -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/5/2008 7:44:24 PM)

Sorry I fell off the turnip truck. Its been crazy around here. I wish it would rain. Its like 100+ degrees, not counting the heat index. I really dislike summer time.

SamPaasch -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/6/2008 12:42:40 AM)

Sorry, I haven't had as much time as I would like to post much. I still read what's going on though.
Man I used to think that life gets easier as you grow up, but now I know that it just gets busier and busier.

And that's the reason I keep posting here. I'm not young anymore, but hey... it's sure fun to act like it! [8D]

Being a dad of two really makes you realize how old you are. I still believe I'm a teenager trapped in a aging body!

danielmount -> RE: The Young Folks' SG Thread (6/6/2008 9:15:54 AM)

Interesting. I think of myself as a middle-aged adult trapped in a 20-something's body.

Actually, on another level, I think of myself as a citizen of eternity, trapped in a human body, but I digress...

I agree with your personal assessment. [:)] I think of myself as a young-adult right at home in a young-adult body. [:D]
