Hey Luke, nice to finally meet you.

Football could be fun. I probably play defensive lineman, but there's no way I'd play without pads!

Daniel, Virginia (among only 3 or 4 other states) has an exception in their law that may allow for the acquisition of a 1 year LLM degree also via correspondence which would then allow me to sit for the Virginia Bar.

Neat. I think you'd said that before, and I'd forgotten it.

If I could handle Virginia's climate, I'd probably move there if I still wanted to go into law. But I decided against that a year or two ago, and I'm sticking to it (for now at least).

It would've been a blast to go through law school with you, but if you ever go through Oak Brook in the next 4 years I'll still meet you. Virginia's climate is terrific except the humidity gets high at least a few weeks out of the summer.

That would have been neat, but I faced a fork in the road and decided to go the author/speaker route instead. I decided there was no way I could do both.

Now if I quit writing (and move to Virginia!), then I just might go back to school for a law degree.

(And on that topic, as my speaking engagements are starting to pick up, it's getting to look like I will have to choose between politics and speaking. I already know which I will pick--speaking. )

If you ever move, make it Virginia! All that rich history, and not too far away from where it all happens - D.C.

Speaking above politics? Interesting. If I were you and eventually had a shot at a U.S. House or Senate seat I'd have trouble turning that down though.

Actually, I want to keep my distance from D.C. After 4 1/2 (nearing 5) years on the front lines, I'm about 93% of the way to being burnt out.

If I could get there and skip the intermediate steps, I might think about it. But I don't want to spend fifteen years on council and as mayor dealing with zoning issues and petty complaints first.

I just looked at what I could do and decided I, personally, could do more as an author and a speaker. Politics is the art of compromise, and people who don't like to compromise to get 1/3 of the cake typically don't get any of it. But as a speaker / commentator / outsider I can be consistent. That tends to suit me more.

Thanks!

A lot of the time I spend at political events is standing for 45 minutes (or an hour and a half) waiting to speak for five minutes to encourage 20 people to vote for a candidate.

For the last year or so, I've just been getting this increasingly antsy feeling as I do that that I would really be better spending my time by working on my next book.

Well the concert was just WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

They started of the night with " Won't It Be Wonderful There", I think it is a great song for them to open with. Then they went right into " I Still Believe", and "Weary At The Well'.The they just kept on singing with out a break right into one of the best songs on "Once Upon A Cross" " Moving The Hand Of God" Then Steve played a piano solo, and then started in to a little preaching about worshiping the Lord. Then they sang " Theres Just Something About That Name"very moving the crowd was singing it with them. Then they went right into "The Garden" IT was a wonderful time of worship to the Lord. Then they got back into it with a great song" Just A Little Closer Home" it was one of the best songs last night.
Then again they just went right in to " Ring The Bells Of Heaven" after that they sang "I'm Going Home", Then Came the two best song of the night. Mark talked alittle bit about this old song that he has sung with every group he has been with, and he doesn't care if he ever sings it again. Then the music started for " Glory Road" and it was great!!! By the end the church was all on its feet, and they sang the last part again, and again. Eric was just wonderful. He is one of the best tenors you could find out there today IMO! Well then they closed the first part with " Once Upon A Cross" IT to brought the whole church to its feet it was the best I had ever heard them sing it. THen they took just a really short break and came back and sand four more songs I can't thing of them all right now. The last two were " Walking With Jesus" , and then they closed out the night with " I Believe IN A Hill Called Mt. Calvary". IT was just great I love them more every time I see them.

it's abt 102 degrees here.. but it's pretty - all nice and sunny... you just have to admire it inside through the window... where you don't die of a heat stroke

There were tornadoes in my area.

Fortunately none of them came down my street.
