Only a few more days . . .

Oy, I wish it was only a few more days.....we had a floor-wide meeting last night. Looks like we'll be working well into June, and possibly much later. Yay. I did get an award last night....I'm our team "ambassador" (the managers will nominate an ambassador for their team each month)....I got a very heavy medal (think Olympic). It was cool, but I'm still not too sure why I got it. I guess because I'm a team player or something like that. I called my mom to check on the kids and said "I got an award!", mom said "really, what for?" and I said "I don't know!" Goofy.

One of the managers came by my desk tonight and was looking at a photo of the kids I have on my desk. She said "Oh, they are just precious!!! Are those your grand babies?"

I said "nooooooooooo, those are my babies."

I know I'm tired and I've been feeling pretty whipped, I guess I'm looking as old as I feel these days.

Good grief. I got asked the same thing last summer. No, she's not my granddaughter, she's mine.

I'm sorry, (((Beckey)))

I bet she felt like a fool afterwards, asking you that.

One of the funniest things I ever read on these forums (I wish that I had printed it out, maybe someone can help me find it) went something like this:

I was in the grocery line checkout with my two children, one blond and fair skinned (from Russia) and one shiny back skinned (from Haiti). The bag boy kept staring at the children, then at me, back and forth between us.

Finally he asked: "Your children are adopted aren't they?"

I said yes, they are.

He nodded and said: "I thought so, you look too old to have kids that young."

LOL!! That's hilarious!!

A couple of years ago I sang for a special program at the kids club where my husband volunteers every weekend. One of the kids came up to me afterwards and told me how pretty I sang and just went on and on. She finally asked me how old I was and I told her 40. She looked puzzled for a minute then said "Well, if they ever have an American Idol for old people, you'll totally win!"

We are taking a week off of lessons this week. I'm considering it our "Spring Break" of sorts. Since I'll be doing 2 hours of OT everyday, it will be all I can do to get up and get them fed before I have to start getting ready to go back to work. Any extra time I can spend playing and cuddling with them.

I love homeschooling.

Let's see if I can remember this correctly.

Got home yesterday (Tue) at 4am, got to sleep by 5am. Woke up at 8am to call dr for Ben, got appt at 9:15...woke Ben up and took him to dr. He is having some chest congestion from allergies (oak pollen is bad right now)....stopped at Dunkin Donuts on the way home, went back to bed (Ronnie was home and semi-watched the kids)....got up again at 3:30pm - got ready for work and left the house at 4pm. Now I'm home again and ready to go back to bed.

Catch y'all later.

Maybe you could get a second job cashiering at Walmart on the weekends.

LOL!

I came home this morning at 4am...and made 6 cheesecakes. 5 to take to work tonight and 1 to leave at home.

The people at work love me. Well, they love my cheesecake.

Got some big'ole thunderstorms last night. And now it's nice outside. Goodbye Oak pollen, hello mold!

I'd be excited about today being Friday and all, except I'm going to work 10 hours tomorrow as well. I could work 10 on Sunday, but I think I'm gonna pass......I need at least one day to catch up on some sleep.
