I don't think I've ever heard of that book.

I also started "The Memory Keepers Daughter" and I'm about halfway through that. That's the book I take with me when I go to dr appts with my mom. It's really good too, kinda sad.
Beckey, did you finish this book?

C. (my friend and current house-hostess) has this book, so I borrowed it . . . and read it in about 4 days.

What did you think about it?

I loved it; it was definitely a page-turner.

I read that book a few weeks ago while at work. It was definitely a page-turner and one day I didn't even notice one of my friends come in because I was so absorbed in the book.

Yes, I did finish that book!!! Lifetime also made it into a movie recently. It was pretty a pretty good rendition, but they kinda condensed the whole middle part. Still not bad for a tv movie.

I've got a lot of books to read now. At the moment I'm trying to finish "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. And I have plenty more to keep me busy all summer. I had started "The Gates of the Alamo" but I put it aside and I need to pick it back up and finish that one.

The kids and I were invited by one of my church friends to go swimming today with her and her kids. We had a blast. And then she even fed us afterward. It was awesome.

I did get a bit of a sunburn on my back (where I couldn't reach with lotion) and on my face. I was wearing shades, so I have that reverse raccoon look..............it's not funny.

Evelyn got this idea last night....she is soooo funny. She wants to build a treehouse and turn it into a restaraunt. She was talking about it and just going on and on and on, like she does. She's still talking about it today. She plans on having a menu of cereal and juice or milk for breakfast and cheese or pb&j sandwiches and koolaid or soda for lunch. She thinks she can build most of it herself, but she'll have to hire some professional 'big people' to put a roof on it for her. She says she will make lots and lots of money, and then she'll give it all to me and her Daddy so we can buy her a laptop before she is 20 yrs old, because she doesn't think she can wait that long. Oh yeah, and she says her daddy will have to work there so he can pour the soda.

She'll get a new idea for her restaraunt every few minutes and have to come and tell me about it. You know, menu additions, or decorating ideas, etc..... It's all pretty funny. Sometimes I'm amazed at how her brain works.

I think I will try to get some video of her talking about it. Y'all will not believe how serious she is about it, and how detailed her plans are.
