Oh yes...she said she'll call it "The Treehouse Cafe." She has quite an imagination.

I think so too!

Maybe Evelyn could draw a picture her restaurant!

"The Treehouse Cafe" - I love it!

Beckey would you please ask Miss Evelyn Cherry Limeade if we are all invited to her opening house of such illustrious eatery?

I did take pictures of Miss Toothless. I'll post a link when I get it uploaded.

I also took a few of her with a temorary tattoo on her face. She put it on there herself and left it on for a couple days. She's such a goof.

She got $1 from the tooth fairy.

Oh Becky! Those pictures are terrific!!
Especially the extreme closeup up of the tattoo!

And after I get a few hours in at work today... I will implement my idea, lol, on the toothless one and email it tonight or tomorrow.

awwww, the toothless grin is adorable. It's so cute seeing her hold the phone with her painted little nails. Gosh, she reminds me of Britt!

It won't stop raining long enough to mow here.

Benjamin has this new "issue" with the wind. He is terrified of it. Yeah, the wind. We have several wind-chimes outside and everytime he hears them chiming, he just about freaks out.

He saw the weather guy on the news say that it is possible for a hurricane to reach us from the gulf if it is strong enough. He has been wierded out ever since.

I'm at a loss as to what to do. I have tried praying with him, reasoning with him, educating him. You name it. I have stopped short of taking down the windchimes. There are several and I like them, and I feel like if I take them down, then his fear has won out. And I want him to overcome this, not give in to it. He's worried about dying from a hurricane or tornado.

I told him he should repeat to himself "If momma's not worried, I'm not worried". But that hasn't helped either.

Any ideas?

Awwwww...poor little guy! I know this sounds very simplistic, but get him to write his fears down, or even draw pictures to explain how he feels. Journaling or picture journaling is a very freeing exercise for a lot of kids dealing with fears.

Another thing that helped with Kristen when she was young(she worried over everything) we had her make a list of all the things God has taken care of in the past...things she worried about that didn't happen. Then I told her to write everything down that she felt God had let us down with. It really helped her to see that God has been faithful in the past and none of her past worries came true.

I'll pray for Ben, and his mama too!

Thanks Karlie, that is a great idea about the drawing. I'll see if I can get him to loosen up a bit and draw for me.

I know it's normal for kids to have some irrational fears (not saying this is totally irrational, but it's borderline). I just hope it passes quickly.

Evelyn got this idea last night....she is soooo funny. She wants to build a treehouse and turn it into a restaraunt. She was talking about it and just going on and on and on, like she does. She's still talking about it today. She plans on having a menu of cereal and juice or milk for breakfast and cheese or pb&j sandwiches and koolaid or soda for lunch. She thinks she can build most of it herself, but she'll have to hire some professional 'big people' to put a roof on it for her. She says she will make lots and lots of money, and then she'll give it all to me and her Daddy so we can buy her a laptop before she is 20 yrs old, because she doesn't think she can wait that long. Oh yeah, and she says her daddy will have to work there so he can pour the soda.

She'll get a new idea for her restaraunt every few minutes and have to come and tell me about it. You know, menu additions, or decorating ideas, etc..... It's all pretty funny. Sometimes I'm amazed at how her brain works.

That's so cute!

Awww. ((((((((((((((((((((((BEN)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

We had a lovely day today. I drove mom and the kiddos down to my sister Sue's for her hubby's birthday party. He turned 70. It was kinda neat - the kids had a great time climbing on back-ho's and trailers, and trees....and my sister took them out on the four wheeler for several rides.

After most of the guests left. It was just my bil and his brother and sister and her hubby. They sat around talking politics and arguing with each other (in fun). It was interesting to say the least.

Hi Beckey, now that must have been interesting! I remember a long time ago 2 Christians at a friends house arguing over nuclear energy. It was very interesting to say the least!

The topics ran the gambit, from diabetes to homosexuality to politics to environmentalism. I just sat quietly amused. Mind you, these people were all my parents age (late 60's to early 70's) and very set in their opinions.

Beckey, I'm glad you had such a good time.

Is your sister that much older than you, or did she just marry a man that much older?

My sister is 51, she's been with Emmit since she was 19. I think they got married when she was in her late 20's.
