That's true Christi, but one thing that I'm thinking is this. Without the post there (after it's been deleted), how could the accurate post count be kept? I think it's a good idea, I'm just not sure how it could be done.

I'm no software specialist, but it shouldn't be that hard to incorporate something into the program which keeps post counts from being dependent on what happens to posts after they are made. It's just a bunch of if/thens.

22,252 to 21852= a -400 posts.

I agree wih Christi. It is not whether they are still there or not, but they were made by said poster and the count should continue.
Post count is not "important" as such, just kinda of fun to keep up with. Not gonna get upset when posts are lost or someone moves ahead of me, just interesting to see how it all unfolds.
