Not sure. It's not terribly important to me, but my little (annoying) analytical mind won't let go of the injustice of the drop in people's counts. It's completely inaccurate and it bugs me.

Like I said above, if threads and posts are deleted, the people who made the posts still made them, whether they still exist or not.
That's true Christi, but one thing that I'm thinking is this. Without the post there (after it's been deleted), how could the accurate post count be kept? I think it's a good idea, I'm just not sure how it could be done.

Somewhat tart, but not as tart as cranberries.

I actually like pomegranate juice a lot better than pomegranate tea. The juice is sweeter (but with no sugar); the tea is just kinda there.

How's that for a rousing endorsement?!

I'm no software specialist, but it shouldn't be that hard to incorporate something into the program which keeps post counts from being dependent on what happens to posts after they are made. It's just a bunch of if/thens.

Gotta go dry my hair...brb.

I'm going to put in an order for mint, please. I just love mint tea.

You got that right.

I have, at times found myself with no food in the house (not as bad as it sounds) . . . but in my entire adult life, I have never not had mint tea in my cupboard.

I'm on another board where the moderator moves old topics from Rambles (general discussion and games) to a "Rambles Graveyard" once they get too old. It's somehow on a different server, to reduce overload on this one, but still part of the same system that tracks post counts.

Y'all are cracking me up.

Oh by the way, I don't know the exact count, but I think I lost around 800 from yesterday.

22,252 to 21852= a -400 posts.

That cracks me up that you know that!

See, that just proves that I really don't keep track of my post count . . . and apparently, I don't even look that closely when I do pay attention to it.

I agree wih Christi. It is not whether they are still there or not, but they were made by said poster and the count should continue.

Post count is not "important" as such, just kinda of fun to keep up with. Not gonna get upset when posts are lost or someone moves ahead of me, just interesting to see how it all unfolds.

For the first time ever, I made a copy of page one just after midnight last night and then again this morning when I saw how much it had changed. Good timing I guess?????

I suppose so!

I typically don't notice how many posts I have. I do want to stay above 10,000 though.

The difference is that I have had the same box of unopened tea bags since I was 18.

Hey Kerr, maybe you could sell it on ebay as a "vintage" product. I've seen stranger things sell on there...

Ouch!

Some took big hits last night in loss of posts. I only lost 165. But others were a lot more.

I just looked a page one. I took a hit of approximaely 50 posts but still moved up two spaces. Daniel and Dinana took such a large hit that I am now ahead of them.

Oh well, win some and lose some.

If everyone keeps losing post counts at this rate, we may have to start over.
