Miss Giggles -> Biggest Loser (9/4/2007 10:47:50 AM)

There is a reunion show tonight and the new season starts next week.

crankius -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/4/2007 11:12:34 AM)

I enjoy this show. It is really amazing to see these people work so hard and lose the weight. I would think the show would be very encouraging for anyone who thinks they just can't lose weight.

I enjoy seeing their lives changed in such a dramatic way through the process.

Go24 -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/4/2007 1:03:07 PM)

AND, I saw a commercial saying that Jillian was back this year -- woohoo!

raspberry331 -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/4/2007 1:43:44 PM)

I'm so glad you posted. I love this show as well.

teaspoon61 -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/4/2007 10:10:52 PM)

Matt and Susie got married and had a baby!!!

Pete still looks great!

It was an inspiration to see them tonight.

ddsisson -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/5/2007 1:30:56 AM)

It was good seeing most of those we saw, I would have liked to see more of Season #1 people. The winner first of all Ryan, also Gary and Mo. Then from Season #2, I would have liked to see Dr. Jeff, Seth, & Mark. Then from Season #3 I would have liked to see Kai, Heather (and baby), & Brian.

Also I would have liked to see 3 different weights-1) Before the Show, 2) End of Season, and 3) Now. But over all good show. It looks as if a few (Erik and Matt[season 2 winner]), not sure who else, has gained a little back, but at least not all of it.

PHmosh1 -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/5/2007 7:49:45 AM)

This is the only reality show I can stand to watch. I enjoy seeing these people change their physical health for the better. [sm=thumbsup.gif]

I did find last night's show a bit cheesy. I hope that is not a hint of the direction the show is taking. They need to stay focused on the transformations and not the typical reality show garbage.

blessedmomx3 -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/5/2007 7:17:54 PM)

I like this show too and didn't catch the whole show last night, but everybody looked great. Matt and Suzy's baby is adorable.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jillian again too with the "black team."

One thing that kinda bothered me was the whole Marty/Amy proposal thing. It bothered me because at the beginning of season 3, Marty had a WIFE. She was mentioned in the early episodes and apparently appeared on the cruise episode (I didn't see that episode so I don't know details). Anyway, Marty and Amy basically had an affair and he left his wife for her. I just couldn't help thinking about Marty's ex-wife last night and how she must have felt. I thought it was a bit tacky. Maybe I just think too much. Marty was never one of my favorites anyway. I think he's a bit too in love with himself.

I don't know how I feel about the new host, though. I really liked Caroline Rhea. Time will tell, I guess.

Matt/Suzie were different, as they were both single and unattached when they fell in love during their season.

I didn't realize this. Very disapointing. I thought it was cheezy.
Is Allison Sweeny going to be the host from now on?

ddsisson -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/6/2007 8:15:29 AM)

I think you must be thinking of anothe player, I don't think Marty was married. Maybe you are thinking of Bobby or Brian(both blue team) Marty was a High School teacher.

forgiven4ever -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/7/2007 11:04:13 PM)

Yes, Marty was married before he went on the show.
His wife was actually shown on the cruise episode. From what I've read, he and Amy fell in love while doing the show and yes, apparantly Marty left his wife for Amy.

To answer the post above, Alison Sweeney will indeed be the host of the show from now on.

On the NBC website, Caroline Rhea is listed as a producer of the show. So maybe she's chosen to be "behind the scenes".

I enjoyed last Tuesday's show and look forward to the next season. But I do agree that highlighting the proposal was tacky, under the circumstances.

Whoa, mine too. I didn't start watching the show until about half way through last season, so I had no idea he was married before. How sad!

So was anybody surprised that Amber was eliminated after she spent the whole week whining that she wanted to be sent home? Didn't think so. [;)]

I was turned off by how judgmental Isabeau was of some of the other contestants who got picked instead of her.

I've been wondering how long having Jillian yell things like "They didn't want you!" is going to motivate the black team.[8|]

I'm sure when they're enduring it, they're not loving life ... but they all know how Jillian operates so it should be no surprise.

Even DH, who was off to the side reading a book, was saying "what? now she wants to stay???"

Go24 -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/13/2007 2:41:57 PM)

I was kind of surprised that Amber was even chosen for a team ... she seemed like she came in so far behind everyone else on that race out to meet Bob & Kim. You'd think there would've been some questions about whether she was mentally & physically up for it (which apparently she wasn't).

wareaglekd -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/14/2007 9:36:37 AM)

I see this like almost any reality show, got to have the drama element. Just like on Hell's Kitchen, they have folks that could never possibly win & are sorry cooks. Same w/ Biggest Loser. Only difference is the weakest ones get voted off much sooner, so they get down to the nitty gritty much sooner. kd

jodavi -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/19/2007 8:18:20 AM)

I don't like the black team at all. They're motivated by anger and almost revengeful in losing weight. 'not sure if that's healthy at all. For now I'll be rooting for the blue team.

Miss Giggles -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/19/2007 11:11:42 AM)

Sheesh enough with the whining. Hee hee.

ddsisson -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/26/2007 9:31:05 AM)

What did y'all think about last nights episode? I can't believe ??(can't remember her name yet) ate 1930 cals when they all agreed that Neil would "take it for the team" and can you believe all the low numbers. I figured Jerrywas the one going home. He looks pretty good. I was hoping that he'd stick around for a while.

jodavi -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/26/2007 9:44:37 AM)

'was not surprised with the low number. For anyone who's trying to lose weight, the first week is always the biggest drop then after that you'll lose about 2 to 3 pounds a week and that's the healthy way.

tiffanyctd -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/26/2007 10:32:59 AM)

That's the thing that bothers me about BL. Everyone was so disappointed with losing "only" 2 or 3 pounds, but if I were to drop that much in a week, I'd be ecstatic! I'm usually lucky to hit 1.5. But there's so much pressure on them to lose with the big numbers that I think they sometimes get carried away with it.

wareaglekd -> RE: Biggest Loser (9/27/2007 1:42:18 PM)

I think it's all drama. I think they are told to do that. At least occasionally someone will chime up & say that 2 is better than zero or this is better than what they would have done at home. k

MyCatSmokey2006 -> RE: Biggest Loser (10/23/2007 10:31:42 PM)

I watched tonight's episode and it was really cutthroat. One of the Blue Team members DELIBERATELY drank two gallons of water and GAINED 17 POUNDS in one week to manipulate the game in his favor. This was after the cookie poker temptation game where the one that was sent home tonight got to choose the new three member teams.

Boy was the Blue Team trainer, (I think his name is Bob) really angry when he heard what happened. He was using words so bad that they were bleeped out and I couldn't have posted them on here anyway. I saw the previews and it looks like it's going to get rough next week as everyone adjusts to this person being around.
