Heh... you get that desirable bulge at the immediate beginning of your hand, yet? I still have a rock of a muscle in my wrist from playing Super Mario Brothers (NES) for 4-6 hours a day.

Yeah, I know what that's like.

_MavericK_ -> RE: Gamers (3/18/2008 2:09:58 PM)

Lucky.

FurGodWurLivin -> RE: Gamers (3/19/2008 2:12:33 AM)

Heh... not so lucky... I wasted so many hour doing that........... oh, and Super Smash Brothers: Brawl is the bomb...

Adam

GrapeApe -> RE: Gamers (3/19/2008 4:27:15 AM)

Do you brawl online, Adam? If so, a few of us (well one at least) here are gearing up to smash the other across the waves of technology. You might want to get it on it sometime.

btw, I live in a town about 70 miles northeast of Kansas City. w00t!

fluffmonkey -> RE: Gamers (3/19/2008 11:20:44 AM)

I brawl online

I'm married to a gamer. I'm a part-time gamer myself.

FurGodWurLivin -> RE: Gamers (3/20/2008 4:35:34 AM)

RatherDashing, I don't actually have a Wii, but a friend of mine does. I haven't tried the online mode (partly because I would get destroyed and partly because I'm still getting used to the game), but I know that we tried a four-player free-for-all (two human, two cpu) with four MetaKnights............ that was a crazy-fast fight.

Oh, and as for the Kansas City thing, feel free to holla at me if you are in my neck of the woods... maybe we can play redemption sometime (major dork, I know).

You know what they say... the family that plays together bears grudges together...

So THAT'S what causes it! [:o]

Sam & Max: Season Two just keeps getting better and better. I liked most of "Night of the Raving Dead" better than "Chariot of the Dogs" but Ep4 wins for one reason:

*SPOILER!* (highlight to read)

Time Traveling Mariachis!

*END SPOILER*

The musical number is made of win. Not pure win like the theme song for Ted E. Bear's Mafia-Free Funland and Casino, but at least 80% win.

Also in gaming news, I got my feather stylus from Nintendo! [sm=aside.gif] Not that I was really expecting much, but this thing probably cost more to ship than it did to make. That said, it's surprisingly comfortable to use. I think I like it better than the standard DS Lite stylus. When I'm home (which is most of the time), I might start using it instead.

GrapeApe -> RE: Gamers (3/22/2008 3:27:27 AM)

I pwn'd myself in SSBB. [sm=aside.gif]

How does THAT happen?

_MavericK_ -> RE: Gamers (3/22/2008 11:24:06 PM)

ROFL

that was classic. [:D]

Waste money on something entirely useless when I could be going... somewhere? [sm=aside.gif]

No thanks.

_MavericK_ -> RE: Gamers (4/4/2008 1:26:50 PM)

Well, that's a good cure.

Crisis Core made me cry at the end. I've never done that before.

fluffmonkey -> RE: Gamers (5/5/2008 10:03:12 AM)

I played Mario Kart for the wii this weekend it was interesting and fun.

_MavericK_ -> RE: Gamers (5/6/2008 2:06:39 PM)

It's addicting online. Watch for me[&:]

GrapeApe -> RE: Gamers (5/6/2008 5:14:18 PM)

Llama lame.

You play that online, yet not Brawl? I can't believe I tolerated you.

_MavericK_ -> RE: Gamers (5/7/2008 2:02:28 PM)

I do so, Mr. Wobuffet. But playing annonymously has a terrible lag.[8D]

In any case, if you want to brawl, give me a call. You have no excuse not to now.

HellHathNoFuryAtAll -> RE: Gamers (5/28/2008 11:11:36 AM)

I'm addicted to RPGS. Final Fantasy, especially. I have a lot of old-school PS one RPGS so you can probably call me a collector also. I love my X-BOX 360 too:) My top 360 games are: Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and Oblivion. I'm also eagerly awaiting two new Square-Enix games!

nuclear_sidewalk -> RE: Gamers (6/18/2008 5:37:14 PM)

My Wii has essentially been a Dr. Mario Online Rx machine since buying it last month. I also bought Samurai Shodown for Wii's Virtual Console today. So many nostalgic memories of feeding that game quarters in the roller rink arcade.

As far as the PC goes, I'm always logging onto Guild Wars a few times per week. Team Fortress 2 play is a little more sporadic, but I really enjoy it when I get around to that. Just started Mass Effect for the PC as well... I've always been impressed with Bioware's work in the past, and this is looking to continue that trend. Oh, and there's the occasional Oblivion when I feel like that too.

I'm so random in what I play these days. Guess that's what happens when you hit the mid-20s. (between life, work, etc)
