Lord Jesus thank you for encouraging Jim and returning him to our forum and for all the prayer support he has been and continues to be. Jesus you are the great physician. We pray that you would continue to heal Jim's sister in law and thank you for what you have done. Please also if it is within your will heal their Dad of his cancer for nothing is impossible to you. And let him hear your voice while in the hospital; encourage him and the entire family and show them your great love for them and draw them closer together as a family through this hard time. Help their Dad to know how much he is loved by his family and by You Lord. I pray this for my Dad too. In Jesus name I pray and thank you for what you are going to do in this situation. Amen.

This request may be more effective as a separate thread but I'm putting it here for now.

My sister-in-law's teenage son prayed for his mother for a while after her cancer returned, but then told his mother that he no longer believes in God. What a concern this is for his mother.

Father,

Of course, You know what's in this son's mind and heart. Please touch him with your mercy and grace. Restore his faith. Draw him to You as You give him wonderful comfort. Draw him into such a walk with You that he will be in step with You for the rest of his life. I ask this in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank You. Amen.

Amen. And Lord may this be a time in his life that he learns something through this that will help him in the future to minister to others. May he know that it is you that have helped his mother. Give her a complete healing through whatever means you know is best or by thy touch. Thanks for all you do and will do in this situation. May romans 8:28 abound today for this mother and son too. Here is an update on my father-in-law.

Below is the original mention of his condition.

My wife's sister is doing better now after the doctor changed the medicine in her chemo therapy.

We were in Spokane and Clarkston, WA during the last 5 days and were encouraged by the improvement of my wife's sister. Her husband, who is an M.D., is also encouraged.

Now, we all are quite concerned about their Dad's cancer which now has caused the loss of use of his legs and other complications. We stayed with the parents in Clarkston and assisted their brother in taking care of them. Their Dad was hospitalized yesterday. Thankfully, their Mom is holding up well in spite of her Parkinson's disease.

Thank you very much for your continued prayers.


Now, the doctor and hospital staff are already giving him radiation treatments to shrink the tumor that has rendered his legs useless and cause renal failure. His kidneys are okay. Hopefully, the radiation treatments will shrink the tumor and restore use of his legs. He still is confused and sometimes disoriented.

Father,
Thank You for helping my wife's sister and for guiding the doctor to a better medicine for her.
We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You heal my wife's father who is 96 years old.
Bless him with a sound mind, restored use of his legs and strength.
Please encourage his wife and his son who cares for them full time.
Pour out Your blessings on them in ways that will help us all to recognize Your goodness.

father put your healing power within this whole family help them all to cope with this sister and father battling with cancer remove all this pain and suffering from them give them both peace and comfort and minimum side affects from this kemo treatments in jesus name amen

Thank you, all of you dear friends who have been praying.

My wife's sister (who has been on chemo for cancer, thus a compromised immune system) was hospitalized this past weekend with septic shock.

Father,
Thank You for giving Your solutions in such ways that You do good in the long run. Please help my wife's family in such wonderful ways that the unspoken complications will resolve beautifully. Thank You for being You and for all that You are doing & will do. We praise You and ask Your intervention in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Here is an update.

My wife's sister is again in the hospital...had surgery again...survived the surgery...condition is day to day....sounds serious. My wife is on her way to the state of Washington to spend a week helping her mother & brother (who is their mother's caregiver), but because of her sister's condition she may rent a car and drive the two hours to visit her and the rest of the family.

Father,
Please have mercy on my sister-in-law. We realize that You know best and ask that You do what is best. She is ready for Your decision and, from what we have heard, is ready for death now rather than suffering longer before dying. We ask You to do what is best for her and for the family.

Please help the family.

Please help my wife througout this time, giving her safety, peace and renewed faith.

I ask this and thank You for all that You will do in the name of Jesus Christ. May You be praised by every person for ever. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father I pray for this family.
I ask you Lord for safe travel for peaceofGods wife.
Lord I ask you to be with them as they struggle with their feeling and emotions.
I pray lord that you would be in their midst as they face theses trials.
Begin even now healing the pain they are going through.
Lord I ask you to be with this sister and give her peace.
I pray Lord that you pour out your love and mercy on her.
Words dont come easy sometimes Lord but you know the hearts and needs of this family.
I pray Lord that you provide for each person according to your will.
Cover them with your love and hold them near to you.
Shine your light upon them Lord and bring your word to their remembrance daily.

Dear Father in heaven, I pray for this family during this difficult time. Please grant your mercy and grace to peaceofGod's sister-in-law. She needs the comfort and peace that only you can send, Father. I pray that her suffering may be minimal, and that she can draw the strength she needs from you, God.

I also send up a prayer for peaceofGod's wife, that she may be kept safe during her traveling, and that she will know what is best with regards to her mother's care. All the members of this family need your comforting love now and in the days to come as they face these sad and uncertain days.

Please dear God, work Your miraculous WONDERS in this situation. Let all be filled with joy at your answers to these prayers for this sister who is very much loved.

Give strength and safety to those who are the "soldiers" who stand vigil at times like these. It is hard and exhausting. Give them spiritual energy and a true in-filling of the Holy Spirit. Let them feel young and energetic while they stand as sentinels, being loyal and encouraging and full of hope and faith.

Thank you Lord.
