Dear Heavenly Father I pray for this family.
I ask you Lord for safe travel for peaceofGods wife.
Lord I ask you to be with them as they struggle with their feeling and emotions.
I pray lord that you would be in their midst as they face theses trials.
Begin even now healing the pain they are going through.
Lord I ask you to be with this sister and give her peace.
I pray Lord that you pour out your love and mercy on her.
Words dont come easy sometimes Lord but you know the hearts and needs of this family.
I pray Lord that you provide for each person according to your will.
Cover them with your love and hold them near to you.
Shine your light upon them Lord and bring your word to their remembrance daily.
May your will be done in each family members life Lord.
In Jesus name
Amen

Please keep blessing this situation and Jim's wife, dear God.

Thank you.

Thank You, Father, for giving my wife a safe trip to her mother's place. Thank You for the encouragement that her presence is giving to her mother.

Please intervene for my wife's sister. Bless her such that all who know of the situation will be amazed at Your goodness.

Along with thanking You, I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thanks and praise to you, heavenly Father, for keeping peaceofGod's wife safe, and for being in the midst of this family during such difficult times. Send your blessings to them, Lord, and give comfort, peace and rest as you see are needed. I pray for this family in our savior Jesus' name. Amen.

Update

Yesterday, my wife drove the two hours to Spokane, spent about 30 minutes with her sister in the hospital, then again drove the two-hour trip back to her mother's house.

Her sister is undergoing physical therapy at the hospital, is out immediate danger, but has a long, long road of recovery to travel. She has taken medical leave for this whole semester from her college teaching job. Although she continues to need God's help every day, she is showing signs of improvement. My wife told me that her sister's focus is not on her overall prognosis but her focus is on her next step then the next...then the next...then the next.

Thank You all for your faithful prayers.

God is good.

Thanks, Jim, for letting us know how things are going with your wife and her sister. I will say a prayer for you wife to find the strength she needs as she does all the driving and traveling necessary in this situation, and help in all things that she is dealing with. I remember that you're wife's father passed away recently - is her mother still living? I'm sure it has been so difficult to take care of things after her father's death, and also caring for her sister who is so ill.

It is good to hear that you sister-in-law is showing some improvement and seems to have a good outlook. May our Lord continue to bless her with healing and a strong spirit!
Friends in Christ,
K.H.

Yes, Jim, thanks for update.
Diane

Thank You Lord for continued traveling mercy as Jim's wife visits with her sister.
Thank You Lord that her sister harkens to "one step at a time" which is all You ask us to take, and You will pick us up and carry us when we can not even take one step for whatever the reason may be.

Yes, her mother is living. Her mother (with Parkinson's Disease) lives a two hour drive from my wife's sister. My wife has been helping her mother during this past week to sort through possesions ... decide what to throw away ... decide what to keep. One of my wife's brothers is their mother's caregiver 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They are making arrangements for a woman health-care worker and a nurse to visit her regularly for personal care.

Thank you for your prayers.

Here is an update on my wife's sister.

We are thankful to have received this first news of improvement that we've heard in a long time regarding her condition. We received word that she is actually walking a little bit....a big improvement. May our Lord be praised.
