Dear Heavenly Father I pray for this lady today.
Asking you give her comfort and peace.
I pray Lord that she would not suffer but find rest in your love.
Hold her Lord and keep her in your loving arms.
Be with her family Lord and help them through.
Lord I pray for your strength to carry them through
May your mercy and grace bless them Lord.
I pray Lord they will draw closer to you each day as they seek your comfort and peace.
Be with them Lord in their time of need
May your will be done Lord

Please comfort and strengthen my wife who wants to be with her sister and their elderly mother during this time but cannot. May your peace and goodness reign supreme. Thank you for being there for us all...for being Omnipresent We thank you and pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

peace of God, my sister is battling cancer, too. Like yours, it returned after what we believed was a remission. She is now is desperate straights. There are few days that she feels well and the doctors are not hopeful. She has lived longer now than they believed she would. It is such a difficult time. We are so helpless. My sister is my closest sibling and I am grieving dearly for her. I am also trying to be supportive to her, though admittedly I want to avoid this situation. I know God has a plan, but it pains me to see her in such pain. I pray for you peace of God and for your sister and her family. I pray that God holds you tight and that good comes out of all of this.

Oh God,
Please give wisdom to this woman's Dr., and all in charge of her care. Let them see clearly what the right plan of treatment is.
And bring peace and assurance to her and her family as they go through this.

Lord, please heal Jims sister Lord, hear our prayers for her and give her the strength she needs to fight this, Lord keep her close to you and I am so thankful that she has you in her heart Lord. Please just bring her peace and comfort right now and heal her completely. Give her body brand new cells Lord and destroy this cancer she has in her body Lord, please heal her completely Lord. Please allow her to be able to eat and drink with no problems and that this food will keep her belly full...allow this food to stay down tonight lord please....

Thank you all for your ongoing prayers.

In addition to my sister-in-laws condition, there is the concern of my mother-in-law. She is cared for by one of her sons who lives with her but, sometimes, the burden seems to be a bit more than he can handle. It is an understatement to say that my wife is very concerned over the situation...sometimes depressed.

She longs to be with her mother, helping her...even considers quiting her job and moving in with her mother (who lives in a different part of the country) to care for her while I remain here caring for my mother. But she recovers from her deepest moments of concern and I think it is because of your prayers for her family.

Father, be with peaceofGod's family, and all familys, who have loved ones who need care and are ill. We ask for healing Father. Thank You that peaceofGod's mom-in-law's son is with her. Give him all he needs to care for her. Help peaceofGod's wife as she struggles, want to be there to care for her mom. Fill her with Your peace Lord, and comfort her. Be with peaceofGod also as he shines for You. Help him as he helps his family (wife, mom, mom-in-law, sister-in-law, his own illness). Thank You that he is a godly man, and a wittness for You, here on this forum and I'm sure to everyone who comes in contact with him.
Help each family, and each family member in the ways that You know is best. Help my friend Pat and her family who are now struggleing with a new diagnosis of cancer in the breast and lymp nodes.
We look to You in all things Lord. You are our God. In Jesus name. Amen

Today, while my wife & I were listening to the closing sermon of a weekend regional church conference, my wife received a phone call...her sister died today.

We are now waiting for word regarding the funeral arrangements.

Also, today, my mother told me that she has some bleeding. The plan is for me to call her doctor tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, that's when my wife & I have an appointment to sign the lease papers for our new apartment which is in the same building as my mother's apartment. We are scheduled to move from our house into the apartment next weekend.

Sooooooo....funeral in another part of the country...mother's medical condition and whatever it will involve...lease papers...moving...good reasons for:

Philippians 4: (New King James Version)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

and

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
