There is something wrong with you if you don't cry during Steel Magnolias. The Color Purple gets me too. What is that movie with Sandra Bullock? The one where her husband's girlfriend outs their relationship on a talk show. I can't remember the name but the scene where the little girl is trying to go with her dad and he is pushing her away because he doesn't want her. The little girl is screaming. I sob uncontrollably during that one.

I busted out laughing in Steel Magnolias because the comic relief was great. That was Hope Floats and that scene is gut wrenching.

Dare I say that I can't stand Steel Magnolias.

I forgot about Schindler's List. I pretty much was choked up through the whole thing, but the part with the little girl in the red coat was heart wrenching.

I read these posts in their entirety and was struck by the differences between us. Some that other people find heart-wrenching don't effect others of us at all and vice-versa. Another way I suppose in which we all fit together...,in which we all need each other in the body of Christ. Very few movies have made me cry. Most holding this honour are Housekkeeping (this movie is sublime) The Deer Hunter Truly, Madly Deeply
