Mine will do that too, it doesn't say how long it will before it will remind you. It will also remind me to do the fitness test if I haven't done it in over 30 days.

Ran 2.5 miles in the falling snow this morning! I LOVE the snow - the only problem was it was snowing so hard that my glasses were coated and fogging up. I could barely see! It felt great though!

I really love running in snow. We might get some later this week. They changed our forecast, so I'm not sure which day. I didn't think I was going to be able to run today because the wind was supposed to be blowing really hard, but it's nice outside--almost no wind at all.

Do you guys run with anyone or by yourself? I've had three people now say they want to run with me, but I don't know how to work that. I wouldn't mind having company, but I don't want to derail my own training plan, you know?

Wow, the past few days it has been very mild. A high of 70! It feels like spring. It is really windy today, but I think I'll go for a run later this evening.

I run by myself. I can't run with others, I've tried and I prefer going alone. Running is my "alone time" to be with my thoughts.

I might join the running club but I am not up to their speed/distance yet. But that would only be on the weekend. Supposedly you split into groups depending on your pace and the distance you want. They go about 4-8 miles depending on the route.

I wouldn't mind if I could keep up.

I run alone. There isn't anyone I know who lives near me who is a runner. One of my neighbors runs but he is coming home from work (nights) when I'm running so I don't think that would work... I do enjoy running alone though because it is a great time to think and "get away" from people (which I need to do now and again!).

I used to take my dog with me on occasion but she's distracting... especially when there are birds around...

I kind of like running by myself, too. My husband was going to run with me, but after two times he decided he needed to slow down and get in better shape. Of the three people that have asked me to run, two are faster and more in shape than me; the other is less so.

There's a running club that meets at the Gold's I go to. I'd love to run with them, just for a change of pace, but I'm not up to their level yet.

If someone wants to run with me I sometimes will but I don't plan on it being my "official" run because they don't usually want to go as far. The other thing I have done is if I knew they wanted to run fewer miles, I would run my extra miles ahead of time and meet up with them after to finish.

For the most part though, I much prefer running alone; it's great prayer time for me!

I run by myself for the most part. I do belong to a running group. I will start out with a pace group but generally end up running by myself. I just need my alone time!

Running clothing... I end up doing a load every day. When I swim/run, my swim suit has to be washed, so everything else gets washed, too. If I just run, sometimes I'll wait and do a load the next day. I just use regular laundry detergent. Usually Arm&Hammer. I never, ever use the dryer!!! Everything gets hung to dry.

Hint for running gear--THRIFT STORES!!! Learn the feel of technical fabric. Women's generally is mixed in with regular clothing. SOmetimes in with boys, too. Mens, look for "sporting goods".

I've been getting in some really good runs. Just going by my coach's schedule. Next race is at the end of the month. A 15miler. Not sure if I'll be ready for it, though...

My run yesterday wasn't so good. I hadn't been out in a few days, so I was feeling good and I was excited and I ran myself ragged in the first few minutes. I'm just not "advanced" enough to do that yet. I had to cut my run short. Poop. Tonight is yoga and I'll try running again tomorrow--this time at a pace I can maintain. (Still, it did feel really good there for a little bit... )

Still waiting on snow...

My run wasn't that good either, I went to the gym and started and got a little dizzy and sweaty but then I was ok so i just walked for almost an hour. Weird. Haven't decided if I will run outside tonight (will buy something reflective) or go to the gym.

Yoga tomorrow, I haven't gone lately but want to, its just an evening class and I have to drag myself there.

I got home last night and there was a message on my answering machine to let me know the ice grips for my shoes came in. I was tired and it was snowing hard to I decided to pick them up later but I wish I had picked them up last night. Everything started to melt then froze overnight so my neighborhood was covered in ice this morning - too icy for me to even try walking on it so I had to skip my run this morning. Waaaaaah!

Is it comfortable to run with ice grips on the bottom of your shoes?

My run yesterday evening was very nice but so windy. The wind pushed me around a couple of times! This whole week is continuing the spring-like weather, it's so weird. It's January but it doesn't feel like winter. I wore long-sleeved top and pants to run because I thought with the wind and evening hour it would be cold, but I got so hot I knew I should have worn a t-shirt and shorts.

Yes, the weather has been crazy!!! Yesterday I ran in shorts and short sleeves! Today it was very windy. Overnight we had winds gusting up to 65mph. It was better in the morning, but still pretty wind. OUtbound, I felt like I was running into a wall. Inbound, I could barely keep my feet moving fast enough!

Tomorrow is a bike and run day. Not looking forward to sitting on hte bike and going nowhere. But, every year for the past too many years, every winter I sit on the bike and go nowhere so I'm ready for my 2-day 210mile bike ride...

I have no idea! I guess I'll find out! They are pretty flat so I think it should be fine. Way back in school I ran track and did sprints so I had to wear "spiked" shoes and it didn't bother me in the least.

Most of the ice and snow have melted but it's still hovering around freezing so no shorts and tshirts around here! I ran 2.5 miles today but I was just dragging and still feel like I'm dragging... Definitely not a good running day...

I hear ya about bad running days. I haven't had one of those yet. Then again, I've only run twice since I got over my cold. I wasn't able to stir up the motivation to run outside today, it was raining and got colder (50s). This is why I hate how the weather was very warm lately. I was getting accustomed to winter weather and then it got warm, now I think 50 degree weather is "cold".LOL. *sigh* Guess it's the treadmill for me tonight!

I had a decent 2.5 mile run yesterday. I sent off a check to our local runner's club. I got a family membership, even though my husband isn't exactly on the running bandwagon yet. I think the only perk is that members get discounted race fees, but it appears their website isn't updated very often and they send all their race information via email. The only people who get the emails are members. So...there you go. It wasn't expensive, so I won't complain. Much.

I had another bad run this morning... It was pretty windy and it seemed to pick up everytime I was headed into the wind (and died down when it should have been at my back!). I only ran 1.5 miles but it felt like forever.... Even my "cool-down" walk was a bit of a workout! I hate the wind! Give me rain or cold or snow anyday!

I know what you mean about the wind. It drives me nuts too! I didn't have the heart to run on the treadmill, oh the monotony of it all! LOL. So, I will run outside. It's not windy, thank goodness!

My YakTrax came in the mail today. I can't try them, though, because the snow we were supposed to get isn't coming. It's 60 degrees again.

I just picked my ice grippers up yesterday but I can't use them either... The weather around here can't make up it's mind. One minute it's almost 50, the next minute it's freezing....

Yah, the wind can be pretty frustrating! I did a run the other day whre I felt like I was running into a wall. For the life of me, I just couldn't get anything going! This was an out-and-back. On the way back in, I could barely keep my feet moving fast enough! I ended up with a good minute negative split!

I had an okay swim and run today. Couldn't really get anything going with the swim. Then, never really did get into the run. I just felt really tired. Turned in decent numbers, though.

Tomorrow is my long run. 90mins. Should be able to do about 10miles. Next weekend is my next race, a 15miler.
