Yep! I just have to remember to not start too hard... Last time I did that, I couldn't sit for a few days...

LOL. That's what happened to me when I went rollerblading. It was a nice, good sore feeling though.

Well, I started to feel part 2 of my cold coming on, but I think I fought it off and was only feeling crummy again for a couple days. This morning I ran 2.5 miles (which is probably more than I should have done but oh well!). It was a hard run because I haven't run much these past 2 weeks, but I needed it and it was a beautiful morning so....

LOL. You couldn't resist a beautiful day! I can't either. I'm about to head out for a run because it's so nice out, a perfect spring day. Not to cold or hot, a bit of a breeze and it's hard to resist so I decided, okay go for a run why not!

Yep! Nothing like a beautiful spring day! Kind gives you energy even if you didn't have any to begin with!

Yah, I had tons of energy when I went running today. It was nice, perfect running weather. I think tomorrow is supposed to be nice too, although it's getting cloudy out now and not sunny anymore.

Yep! I think spring has finally arrived! It's been pretty cold at night, but it's slowly warming up... I'm not looking forward to the heat though... I wish we could go from spring straight to fall!

I'm feeling really good right now. I wasn't sure if maybe I'd gone too far but my body seems to be agreeing with my decision to keep running!

spring has arrived along with the sneezing . LOL. finally this week is supposed to be almost all in the 60s. I am not sure how much it is going to rain though. I am going to run/walk in a little bit.. need to find a good sunscreen -- have some acne need something that won't make it worse. its funny because some people are wearing shorts and others still have their winter coats on.

Around here, it will be 30 in the morning, then upper 60s in the late afternoon. It makes it hard to know how to dress! Even on my run, I think I was a little overdressed because it warmed up even the short time I was running!

I had a bit of a lousy run today. Ran about 1.5 miles and decided the wind and the late breakfast were not helping so I walked for a bit, then ran the rest of the way. This is going to take a while to get back to where I was...

It'll come back to you!

Today is a horrible cold, cloudy day. Yesterday was the same, it ended up not being nice yesterday! I will try to get the motivation to run tonight before it gets dark, but it's hard when it's so cold out there..brrrr!

I felt better doing my upperbody weights and such today, but the run was awful. Of course, it didn't help that yesterday I dropped a pan on my toe. Just trying to get my running shoes on the this morning was painful! Oh well, I'll be back to running 3 miles before I know it! Right?

My run today was a little better. I slowed my pace down a little and ran 2 miles. It may take a little time to get back to where I was before being sick, but I'll get there... eventually...

Ouch! It didn't hurt to run with your toe like that? My run yesterday was very good, I had lots of energy after. I find every time I am *not* in the mood to run, I go out there and it ends up being a great run. Go figure!

I know what you mean. It always seems like the runs where I feel like I'm dragging end up being my personal bests!

But for some reason (and I am NOT complaining) my toe is not bothering me while I run. Like I said - I'm not complaining!

I think it helps if you find the right beat. Of course you can't zone out too much or you'll run right into someone

I also run on my neighborhood streets (no sidewalks) so I can't have it be too loud!

My favorite workout song is the old Big Band hit: "Sing, Sing, Sing" - Benny Goodman. It is humanly impossible to sit still when that song is playing - and it's about 9 minutes long!

It was another cloudy and unseasonably cool day today. After 3 days of cloudy, cool weather I'm yearning for the spring-like sunny days again. I don't think I could ever live in the UK, ack, how do people deal with icky weather? I am going crazy after only 3 days of icky weather.LOL.

I love to listen to dance/trance or rock songs. The beats are always fast and it helps me run better.

Have you ever heard of "Nitro Praise"? They take old Christian songs and put them to dance/trance that I like running to.

i ran a little yesterday for a half an hour, since it was so windy I was pretty cold. I walked out the door, walked about 5 feet, walked back in and then put on a warmer shirt, went back out and i was still cold. I saw another person in my apartment complex do the same thing.

Good job! I did a shorter run today (1.5 miles). Still having a hard time getting back into things after being sick. I did remember though that I didn't take my normal day off this week (Sunday), so I've decided to take tomorrow off because maybe part of the reason I'm tired is that I haven't had a day off in a while!

I haven't heard of them, I'll have to check them out. Thanks!

It's good not to over-do it, especially when you've been off your routine for a while. I ran on the treadmill last night and it wasn't as bad as I thought. It's been months since I ran on a treadmill so I thought I'd be in agony of boredom! Not too bad, put the incline up to 1 and kept a steady pace at 6.5-6.7, then stopped and did 5 minutes of fast running and walking at the end.

I thought I'd try the treadmill to improve my outside running since I feel I've becoming too complacent. I think it's good to change it up, I run faster on the treadmill which helps me run faster outside while the hills outside strengthen my leg muscles and makes treadmill running easier.
