I had picked Josiah James. But if you really hate the nickname Joe, I don't think you should Josiah.

I do think using Emery as a middle name would go well with your other boys' middle names though.

yeah my only problem with using Emery is jealousy of his mom over us using his dads name...esp if we never have another girl to use her name. She can be kind of weird sometimes. Our other two boys middle names though are after hubby's brother (who died in high school) and hubby.

I am not that fond of boy names that start with J. Out of the names up there I would pick Micah.

I don't mind the nickname "Mike"...although I know about half a dozen "Micah's" IRL and none of them go by a nick name. I hate the nickname Joe...in any form. I guess it's my dislike of "hickness" in some ways. I have known quite a few that I can't stand (and one that was creepy....really creepy) so I just hate that name.

So... um... James James is a consideration then.

I like Levi James. If Levi got shortened to Lee, occasionally, would that be okay? ALL names get shortened whether you want them to or not...actually, in our lame attempt to shorten our kid's names, we actually lengthened them: Tanner is TanTan, Jackson is JackJack and Riley is, you guessed it, RiRi, well okay, her's is slightly shortened...so in our house, Levi would naturally become LeeLee....umm on second thought...

My daughter would fit in well in your family, because I call her Keke!

I've never been a fan of the name Josiah just because I dated a guy whose last name was that. The more I hear it though, the more it grows on me.

I like James as a middle name with all of those first name choices (even James!) I think I would pick Micah James Your Last Name out of all of them.

We know a little boy whose name is Jesiah (it has a different meaning to Josiah, but don't ask me what it is) because his parents didn't want a Joe. I don't think it gets shortened to Jess.

ugh....no....don't like that one either. I don't particularly like names to be shortened, and I don't prefer most "cheesy" or "hick" nick names. I like the boys nick names that we have so far (Jake and Jack)...to me they hold their own as a name and not only a nick name. I especially hate the sound of babyish nick names...no offense to y'all who use them, I just hate them. Some nick names that are used in the south that I especially hate are things like "Bubba", or "Sissy", or "Junior"....things like that. ick...can't stand those.

I think that's what we are leaning to now.

according to what I can find.....

The boy's name Jesiah \j(e)-siah\ is a variant of Jesse.
The baby name Jesiah sounds like Josiah, Isiah, Joziah and Josia. Other similar baby names are Jeriah and Jediah.
Jesiah is a very rare male first name and a very rare surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census).

The boy's name Josiah \j(o)-siah\ is pronounced jo-SYE-ah. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "Jehovah helps". Biblical: king of Judah at age eight after his father was assassinated, Josiah ruled well for 31 years. Porcelain entrepreneur Josiah Wedgwood.
Josiah has 3 variant forms: Josia, Josias and Joziah.
For more information, see also the related name Moses.
Baby names that sound like Josiah are Jesiah, Isiah, Josua, Joshuah and Josh.
Josiah is an uncommon male first name and a popular surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census).

But I'm partial...I'm hoping my baby will end up a Micah if it's a boy!
