My MIL just received a bad report on some tests today.
There is a growth in her lungs and "shadow" on her liver.
She is a 14 yr breast cancer survivor, a strong woman of faith in God and His healing ability.
Prayers needed.

Father, we know You are the Maker of all things and You are the Healer of all You make.
Father, I believe You can heal her and through this Your Glory will be shown.

I just wanted to bring this thread back up asking for prayer again for MIL.

The cancer is now in her liver as well as lung, the doctor put a chest tube in today to help drain the fluid off her lungs (1100cc last Friday and 1500cc today).

Doctor today said we are only looking at weeks, maybe a few months.

I know where her faith is, it is in God alone and I know she is ready to go home to her Father, but my husband is not ready for his mother to go.

Just need a lot of prayer going up for this family.

Dear Heavenly Father I pray for this mother.
I ask you Lord to be with her and comfort her.
Lord I pray that she would be at peace with you in her heart.
Hold her near to you Lord and let her find rest in you.
Lord I pray for her son and the entire family.
Give them strength and prepare them Lord.
You Know their needs and their fears.
I ask you Lord to help them through this difficult time.
Cover them with your love and let them know you are near.
May they find assurance as they lean on you Lord.
May your word planted in their hearts be a constant reminder to them.
That you are in their midst and will not leave them alone in their trials.
May your loving grace and mercy be with them Lord

Dear Lord, thank you for the life of this mother and MIL. I thank and praise you that she has faith in you, and can look expectantly to the great riches that await her in heaven! I know how difficult and sad it is to watch a loved one who is so ill, so please, God, send your comfort and peace to Kimmie and her husband at this very hard time. Surround this family with your love and care, and remind them that You are always there in the midst of trouble and sadness. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Lord I come to you in prayer for this family.
Lord I pray that you prepare the way before them.
Give them peace Lord as they face this day.
Help them Lord to walk in faith,knowing you are with them.
I ask you Lord to ease to pain and suffering of this mother.
Give her rest in your arms Lord.
Keep this family in your loving care Lord.
Calm the storm and still the waters in their lives Lord.
May your will be done

Yes, Gracious Lord I pray in agreement with every prayer lifted up here knowing Lord that You hear, You touch, You comfort and You sustain with Peace while these storms of life rage.
Jesus please just wrap them ever tighter in Your Arms of Healing and Peace and strengthen them all in whatever they must go thru.
Lord, we do not doubt Your Power to Heal with a mere wave of Your Hand or Thought, and all Glory will be given to You if this is Your Will, but Lord we also know that sometimes You chose to call one of Your children on Home, Lord, which is the ultimate of all Healing.
Whichever is Your Will Lord, give all of them Peace & Comfort as it is accomplished.

Update:

MIL had to have 2 pints of blood because of severe anemia and is suffering from a urinary tract infection as well.
She is very weak, suffered a fall last week and the strain of taking care of her 24/7 is weighing on my FIL now.
He is 80 years old and diabetic.
Hospice has been called in to help now, but the family is still in need of prayer through this trying time.

We ask that You touch this entire family with Your healing power.
We ask that You give them strength, courage & wisdom to get thru this situation.

God, send Your Holy Spirit to this family to comfort them. Death surrounds us all, and yet we have such a hard time dealing with it. I pray that You will show MIL and her family just how much You love them all. And bring joy and peace to this otherwise stressful and sad time for them.
