Clearly you have never experienced Charmin extra strength.

I can picture it now.

Right. She can just rip out a hem if there is an emergency.

Let's just hope that the TP demons don't start unrolling her in the middle of the wedding ceremony.

There is the ghost of Scotch Tape and the Spirit of Elmer's Glue to consider too.

I thought about this thread yesterday. We celebrated Christmas with my husband's side of the family. My mother-in-law has an apartment in a retirement complex. The bathroom in the community area has some gizmo in the toilet paper roller that keeps it from rolling at all. It's not like the ones that only roll part way, it's so stuck that you can only get a half sheet unless you wind the paper off of the stationary roll. I don't know if the original rolls were possessed or if the old folks needed to be stopped from TPing the trees on the grounds, but it was awfully annoying.

Gotta watch those old folks and their TPing parties!

Here's a young folks TP story---

Grandson #1 (almost 3) took the new puppy out to go poo-poo, so he started back for the house and said, "I'll be right back to wipe your bottom!"

Kids are so toot.

Breaking News Update: Yesterday, I had a roll run away! It just ran right out onto the floor ... toilet paper suicide for sure. I then had a brilliant idea about preventing future tragedies ... crush the roll to make the cardboard inside a shape that can't run away. What do you guys think? I need someone with a chronically suicidal roll to try this and tell me if it works.

I have tried crushing them, but they still limp away.

So the worst thing you can wish on someone is to hope they come back as a roll of toilet paper?

They have these in the bathrooms at my wife's school. Very annoying.

I tried this with my rogue paper. It only served to make it unroll faster.

Ya'll should just do what I do. I never put my TP on a roller. I just simply set it on a chair I have near the john. It never runs away or commits suicide unless I drop it.

Well I am disppointed that my idea is only good on paper ... so to speak. Ducktape is probably the answer here (and everywhere else, too).

Toilet paper suicide ... tragic, preventable, misunderstood. I suggest we set aside a day for awareness and give it a ribbon ... say in white?

Yabut someone had set a roll on top of the dispenser in our church restroom. I didn't notice until it leaped to the floor and unrolled about 8 feet under the stalls. Bet you have no idea which CW thread I thought of just then!

I didn't realize duct tape was absorbent enough to take the place of TP...

Oh my, Kerrlaw.

I think your thread is suffering from verbal incontinence.

What a mess! Out of control.
