OOOOOOHHHHH ... Ellie!

Bamboo is on sale in March for hosts!

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/12/2008 7:25:49 PM)

decisions, decisions. They are so much easier to make when you DON"T have all of the facts.[&:]

Anisavta -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/12/2008 7:29:07 PM)

Love the stuff!
My favorites are my baking stones and peeler. All the other products are good too!
My daughter was a consultant for awhile so I do have a dealer when I need something new.

ladioffaith -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/12/2008 7:29:32 PM)

When does Donna's party close?

If you have yours first then you can get a 10 percent past host discount!

Personally, if it were me, I'd:

* Get something from Donna's party because she's so doggone lovable. [:)]
• Have a party in February to get the 2 items at 60 percent off. [;)]

AND

• Get somebody to book off of you. That way you get the March special as well!

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/12/2008 7:33:13 PM)

Sounds like a plan to me!

Kath -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/12/2008 8:31:39 PM)

I'm glad Diane has got the ins and outs figured out. That's pretty handy.

I am not real crazy about the PC pastry brush I bought. It's just too stiff.

My party will close this Friday or Saturday. I'm LOVING getting the $345 cookware for $138!!!!

Lisa, I can guarantee if you buy off me, I'll buy off you when you have one.[;)]

The silicone basting brush, Kath?

It's OK, but not my favorite item in the world. I use it to brush oil on my stoneware more than I use it on pastry.

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/13/2008 6:04:30 PM)

I am hoping that it will work well for brushing butter on my loaves of bread.

ta_mosquito -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/13/2008 6:40:49 PM)

I bought a couple silicone basting brushes from the hardware store, and they work very well for all those applications. The biggest difference (besides the price) is that mine don't have a hook to hang the brush on the side of a bowl, but I wouldn't use that anyway.

(Sometimes, PC just isn't worth the price.) [;)]

That's it. I just don't like it. I use a pastry brush to brush butter on freshly baked bread. Do they have any other kind of pastry brush? The silicone one was the only one I saw. Maybe it will work for Lisa better but for me it was just too stiff. But then I'm used to the other type, that is more like a paint brush.

ladioffaith -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/13/2008 7:22:07 PM)

My family used to have the paint brush variety ... it never seemed to come clean and it left bristles on the food. ICK!

Kath -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/13/2008 7:31:36 PM)

I throw it in the dishwasher. I used to make sure there were no bristles on it but it's so old now that there aren't many left.

Sometime I just use a paper towel wrapped around my fingers and dip it in the butter to put on the breadcrust.

laura... -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/14/2008 10:10:53 AM)

My mom always used the butter wrapper to rub butter on fresh baked bread crusts.

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/14/2008 10:42:59 AM)

I don't have that many butter wrappers. I have had the regular brush before, but after a while, I didn't feel like I was getting all of the butter/oiliness out.

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/14/2008 10:57:02 AM)

my mom has a tupperware brush that has a sleeve that pops off of the bristles for easy cleaning. I like that. It is probably older then me though so I am not sure you can get that kind anymore.

PrincessDonna -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/18/2008 5:59:54 PM)

I have over $400 for my party, so I get $60 free product, 2 60% off items (come to Momma, cookware!), and then 20% off anything else.[:D][:D][:D]

Thanks, Sarah and Lisa!

Ellie-Mae -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/18/2008 6:50:36 PM)

Yay! Donna! I am so happy for you! I want to see your new stuff when you get it.

YAY!!!!! That's great!!!!

PrincessDonna -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/19/2008 1:08:44 PM)

Oooooh...my PC lady came over this morning and she said I get 60% off two items AND also 50% off two items. WooHoo!

ladioffaith -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/19/2008 1:26:37 PM)

I was just gonna remind you that you got two 50 percent off items too!

A recent catalog hostess had the same totals ... she is my highest grossing hostess EVER!

(Thank you ... you know who you are!)

It is Kit Enhancement month ... I'm toying with the idea of getting a skillet and kitchen shears!

laura... -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/19/2008 1:52:54 PM)

If a party doesn't come up soon for me to order some stuff from I may need to have another catalogue party.

ta_mosquito -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/19/2008 2:16:39 PM)

Di - are the kitchen shears dishwasher safe? I have a pair, but I always hand wash them because I'm afraid they'll seize up. [8|]

ladioffaith -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/19/2008 3:38:49 PM)

Yes, they're dishwasher safe and guaranteed for 3 years!

(Although I really don't get what items are dishwasher safe and which ones are not ... The forged cultery is not supposed to be put in the dishwasher, although the food chopper is! I usually use my kitchen brush to scrub the forged cutlery to avoid a cut.)

joyfulmn -> RE: Let's Talk Pampered Chef! (2/20/2008 6:12:32 PM)

I highly recommend catalog parties, I just did one with a certain Mod. [:)] It turned out great - for both of us. Getting two products at 60% off and two products at 50% off was w-a-y too much fun!!
I did get to go to an in home show last Saturday though and it was fun to see the products up close and personal.
