2 hours on Thursday ! [sm=dance.gif][sm=funny.gif][sm=heart.gif][sm=icon_smile_super.gif][sm=icon_smile_sing.gif][sm=rollingeyes.gif][sm=thumbsup.gif]

Yes, but the first hour is one of those recap shows. Although I don't usually watch those, it might be useful to watch this one since it's been awhile.

oh bah. I'm surprised too since they are running the season finale the night before.

momma-mo -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/28/2008 6:49:22 PM)

I still have the season finale recorded on my dvr! Hee, hee. I think I'm hooked.[:D] Can't wait for the new season! Gotta go check and see if the dvr is set up to record it.

Abbreviated -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/28/2008 9:32:28 PM)

Trump vs LOST on TH ....

Wayfaring_Stranger -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/28/2008 11:31:44 PM)

Lost will definitely win out over The Apprentice at our house, but I'll tape the latter.

momma-mo -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/29/2008 8:44:24 AM)

Yeah, that's what the dvr is for.[:)] I'm telling the kids to hurry up and watch all of those backed up Doctor Who shows to make room for Lost.

Kath: RE: your "spoiler" in post 15 (I think) How do you know it was what you said it was, and not someone's flashback? I hope it's what you said it was! Sorry to be so cryptic, I'm doing it for the sake of those who don't want to know what you saw in slo-mo.

Well, I'm not really sure! in white... I am pretty sure Hurley swam down to the station because we do see that, and then we see Charlie, so I just inferred from that. I know I could be wrong.

Wayfaring_Stranger -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 9:34:29 AM)

Our church is having revival meetings this week, which is a real test of our priorities. [:D] My husband teased that we could stay home and tell the pastor that we were concerned about the Lost. [:)] We wouldn't do that, of course, and we'll tape it, but what will be hard is that it will be a half hour or so into it before we get home. I don't want to wait til the whole thing is over before we start watching, but if we jump in half an hour late I know we'll miss something vital and the rest might not make sense.

Abbreviated -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 4:17:47 PM)

I picked up on a few things I'd forgotten about while watching the re run last night.

When Hurley comes down driving the van. Tom gives up & Sawyer shoots him anyway saying, "This is for taking the kid off the raft."

The doctor talking to Jack. Is he the sescurity guy in the casino series ?

Charlie whipping out that permanent marker & leaving a message on his hand.

Kath -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 4:22:59 PM)

I guess I was wrong. in white -->THE SURVIVORS PONDER CHARLIE'S FINAL MESSAGE THAT THE PEOPLE CLAIMING TO LIBERATE THEM AREN'T WHO THEY SEEM TO BE That was from an ABC press release.

Random -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 7:10:32 PM)

I can't decide if the subtitles on the replay of the finale were helpful or stupid. For the most part they annoyed me, but every once in a while I learned something from them.

Kath -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 7:13:23 PM)

They were distracting. I can't read and listen at the same time.

jodavi -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 11:21:11 PM)

'did not like the subtitle as well. I do like, however, the first hour tonight where they all summed up from the very first episode. My husband watches Lost with me on and off and the first hour tonight did help him a lot to fill up the holes that he missed.
Going back to the flashforward, the Jack-Hurley thing, I'm assuming that the Jack here was the Jack prior to the suicide attempt.
I gotta say though, the Jacob house is sure creepy.

Abbreviated -> RE: Lost Season 4 (1/31/2008 11:43:35 PM)

Completely missed the subtitles.

Still not clear on who the 6 were.

Random -> RE: Lost Season 4 (2/1/2008 6:19:40 AM)

I think we only know Jack, Kate and Hurley for sure.

momof4 -> RE: Lost Season 4 (2/1/2008 9:30:56 AM)

What I don't understand, and this is going back to the last show of last season... The scene where Jack and Kate are talking, and Jack is telling her how he flies every Fri nite, and prays to crash, and he tells her they hve to go back. OK, this is after they are rescued, so why isn't Kate in prison? Don't tell me she was exonerated b/c she "did time" on the island, and that was punishment enough? I just don't see that happening in real life! OK maybe they could have given her a very lite sentence for the death of her step-father, b/c he was abusiuve, and she was only protecting her mother, but what about the bank job in New Mexico, or Arizona, or wherever it was? Doesn't she have to stand trial for that? If she was under house arrest (ala Martha Stewart) she wouldn't be able to just leave in the middle of the nite like that. And who is the "he" she spoke of? Sawyer? She said something like, "You know how upset he gets when I leave?" or something like that.

OK, now for a personal rant. My hubby and 12 yr old daughter have only been very occasional viewers of the show. After I spent all that time on Wed and Thurs nite watching it, while they watched other shows, (and dau had homework to do), they both had the nerve to ask me what happened on Lost. AAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!! If they want to know, they should watch it themselves!!!! It's too hard to give a synopsis of all that info in a few minutes! WHY do they do this to me? It's actually more that giving a synopsis, it's also filling them in on why this or that is significant, b/c they haven't watched enuf of the first 3 yrs.

I'll help you out, they were stupid. Also annoying and distracting. There was nothing new in them other than to point out inane things like the name of the funeral home was an anagram for "flash forward".

Can't wait to find out what Hurley saw in the ocean that made him so scared of it. Has to be more than just the fact that Charlie drowned. Especially after the hallucination in the police station! I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Charlie, dead or alive. [sm=rollingeyes.gif]

momof4 -> RE: Lost Season 4 (2/1/2008 10:37:09 AM)

Of course not! Hurley's halluciations are one of my fave things about the new episode. I'm sure we will be treated to more hallucinations of Charlie. Did anyone else notice that when Charlie was about to die, he made the sign of the Cross, but he did it BACKWARDS? He went head, chest, LEFT shoulder, right shoulder. It's supposed to be RIGHT shoulder first! That was an "oops" on the part of the director and the actor, since Charlie is supposed to have once been a very devout Caholic, and would not have made that mistake, even tho he was a "falling away" Catholic for a while.

And what ws that thing about the lawyer supposed to signify? I know it "means" something. Any guesses?

jodavi -> RE: Lost Season 4 (2/1/2008 10:53:21 AM)

The subtitle reminded of pop up video on VH1 from years ago.
And yes...the sign of the cross was done wrong.

I never noticed he made the sign of the cross until watching it again last night! But, Catholics do start with their LEFT shoulder first...not their right shoulder first.

furrypurrykitty -> RE: Lost Season 4 (2/1/2008 11:59:30 AM)

I thought Jorge Garcia really brought it in last night's ep, both the sad and the funny. His grief when he heard about Charlie's death, and his volunteering to tell Claire, touched me. I laughed out loud when he was talking to dead Charlie and asked how he could know he was really there, and Charlie smacked him on the face. I was amused at dead Charlie's looking better as far as clothes and haircut than he ever did when he was alive.

I was shocked when Hurley lied to the police officer about Ana Lucia, saying he had never met her. Maybe he just didn't want to tell the guy that Ana Lucia was dead.

Poor Ben, getting knocked around the way he did when I have a suspicion he's actually right about the freighter people. I don't know why, but there was something funny about when he told Rousseau he didn't want his daughter there when the freighter people came and she smacked his head back against the tree.

I wondered why he lied too. Maybe he didn't want the police officer to know how she died?

yes they do. :) Isn't it orthodox who do it with the right first?

Charlie sure looked better in the flash forwards with his hair groomed.

Larry does that too, and I just remind him he thinks the show is stupid so why would he even ask? He really isn't interested, just curious.

The only thing good that I found in the season finale is the "Bad to the Bone" commercial with Sawyer. He is so good to look at.

I liked that too, he deserved it.

I noticed Ben asked Jack permission to go with them at the end. a nod to his leadership I guess. I was surprised Ben asked in such a way.
