Hi Veronica! Thanks for stopping by to visit! I love your new avatar and Thanks...and I actually am not sure what it is. It's at this little park I usually eat my lunch at and I noticed this yesterday. I wish the quality of my camera phone was better. It almost has a blue tint to it. There wasn't a fountain there the last time I was there so I don't know if they put one in recently or what but obviously there's water spouting from the ground and it froze and it is really cool looking in person...the picture doesn't do it justice.

Nice photo Veronica, I thought that maybe your avatar was a picture of a statue that had turned into a snowman.

Red and black ....... those are the school colors for the high school Alice Cooper went to. My high school colors were blue and white. Really original. Our mascot was the Bison. THAT was original!

I heard a wonderful song on the way in this morning. Not sure who sings it, but the words include "somebody's praying me through". I stop and think how many times in my life there has been somebody praying me through the tough times, and this song just made me want to yell out how great our awesome loving God is!!! Someone praying on my behalf ..... asking God to hold me ..... to guide me through the trials ..... to be there with me and hold me up when I don't think I can take any more. There is nothing in the world that can compare to feeling Him right there and holding me. I wonder how many others have had this amazing experience? Feeling God, His presence so strong you can feel him............

Feeling God, His presence so strong you can feel him............ Sadly I think there are many christian's who do not......... Have you ever seen a child interact with a parent who is highly autism? It breaks my heart........you can see the love the parent has for the child and how their heart breaks that the child they love so much has build such a wall around them the parent can not get in..........You see in their face a desire so strong it is tearing them up to be able to get through to their little one....to be able to touch them and tell them they love them and have the child respond with understanding....... I think that is often how Christians live their lives because they have built a religious wall around them which keeps them isolated from the touch and presence of their father. I know it breaks the fathers heart.

Wow, Rachel, how do you do the jail thing? I give you a lot of credit! I have a friend out here who goes to the women's prisons, she also ministers to the Native Americans. Does it make you feel ...... I don't know how to express the emotions that are evoked in me when I think about going inside a prison ..... claustrophobic? nervous? It could very well be one of those things that we just think out of ignorance, then when we do it, we realize how silly we were to think that way in the first place. Maybe because of the abuse for so many years, and I felt trapped. That could be part of my *hang-up* about it too. How did you ever get into prison ministry?

Joy, you definitely have a point! Great parallel...... I think pride is the issue with many Christians. Not willing to completely let go of the reigns, and hand them over to God. Hmmmmm ........ just thinking through my fingertips here ....... could this be why so many Christians who are so totally devoted to our Father can say that they hit *rock bottom*? My complete reliance on Him didn't happen until I had to walk away from everything I knew, everything I had ....... started fresh from scratch, with nothing. Nothing. If that isn't a humbling experience, I don't know what is. To go from a life where I made great $$, lived in a nice place, bought a new car ever year or so, had all the material things ....... to no job, living with family, being in *hiding* simply to survive, no possessions. When I finally could go back to work, get a place for me and the munchkin, struggling to make ends meet, days when I would call in to work because I didn't have enough gas to get to work and no $ until payday to fill the tank, crying because all I could afford was $1 peanut butter and $1 bread, lucky if I had enough to get the $1 jelly. I learned to rely on Him to get me through ...... He showed me there was always a way, He showed me that I had to set my pride down and ask for help when I needed it. It was a really difficult lesson. The blessing I received was a deep understanding of what it is to be compassionate. The pay-off for my difficulties was well worth it! God is amazing, and He never ever ceases to amaze me!! I seem to say that a lot, but it's soooooooo true!!
