Slow down Ray!

Now, more than ever, you're gonna need that riding mower!

My daughter got married Thursday. How come none of you guys showed up at the reception?

She's been a huge part of my life for 23 years. It's kind of surreal to think she won't be around too much anymore. Was it weird like that for you guys?

They came over for lunch today though - that was nice. Off to their honeymoon tomorrow.

Congrats on making through the wedding. Have you watched the movie 'Father of the Bride' lately?

Yeah, it can definitely be a transition...especially if it means she's moving out now. We had one that moved out before marriage, and another one that lived with us while her hubby was over in Korea.

Here is an interesting tidbit I've been wanting to bring up:

Do you think THIS guy is really singing that high? (You got to listen through about half of it to get there)

He sings in Russian -- I don't speak it so I don't know what the lyrics are but I'm pretty sure it's not bad.

Yes. You need a good sturdy c-clamp between your legs though. My ranges ends a few notes above middle-C on the piano. No way I can make it up there.

A couple years ago we saw Vince Gill in concert. For those unfamiliar, he's famous in the world of bluegrass music, playing mandolin and electric guitar and sings high-tenor. He joked about being paid a lot of money to sing like a girl.

Glad your back in the game Ray!

I don't think I couldn't scream that high even if you did a circumcision with a bamboo shoot.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. This is such a cool place. With my line of work, I have a lot of time off and I have been off for the last 5 days. I did spend some of that time in the Garage, which is also my wood shop. Starting a new project. I got an old solid oak dresser that was bound for the burn pile. I rescued it and will be working on restoring it. Kind of like how God restored me. Like the dresser, I am a work in progress.

Had a wonderful time with my son Sunday night. We both have the same taste in music and both are part of the worship band at our church. We went to a concert in Milwaukee to see Andy McKee (I may have spelled the name wrong). He plays guitar and in a most unique and awsome way. It was very inspiring. My son plays guitar and drums in our worship band and I play guitar and sing.

Well, thanks again for the warm welcome and safe place online. I am going to head out now because it is late and if I don't stop yappin now I will be here for hours. You all have a wonderful day.

In His Grip,
Jeff

Reminds me of the Alan Jackson song

Work in Progress

You get tired and disgusted with me,
When I can't be just what you want me to be.
I still love you and I try real hard.
I swear, one day, you'll have a brand new car.
I even asked the Lord to try to help me:
He looked down from Heaven, said to tell you please;
Just be patient, I'm a work in progress.

Well, I was gonna clean out the wood stove and install the air conditioner, but I guess I'd better wait another 6 months or so! AARRGGHH!

The snow is slowly melting, but it's gonna take a few days. Tomorrow we're supposed to get a rain/snow/wind mix. We could get more melt-off with the rain and wind.

The highest temp in the long range forcast is 46...still below normal a bit. Hopefully we'll get some nicer weather and we can open the garage door soon. It sure could use some airing out in here.

Ordered a bunch of seed from Burpee the other day. The wife says I can take over part of the kitchen table to start growing seeds.

Yep, I saw a few flakes around here today also. Even saw some snow!

10-4 on the airing out! Too many manly smells all at the same time.
