I'm in Dallas and as far north and as cold as I ever want to be! [:o]

We made it through there a couple years ago. Our son-in-law was stationed down in Fort Hood and we went to see them. Amazing how many armadillo roadkill we saw. I found it humorous with all of the wide-open spaces down there in Texas that they built on and off-ramps for the interstate that are about 50-ft long. [:D]

I put a large jar of Spicy V-8 in the cooler. Y'all help yourself.

Ray, what's on my mind is that I'm in open workspace here in Houston and I have "FARTITIS" today (so I'd like to "literally" be in your garage). And unfortunately girls are allowed here, and it ain't too comfortable in these circumstances. I'm sure I'd be welcome in your garage if I go outside every once in awhile.

That's OK...fuel for the stove. I'm sure the spicy V-8 will just make it worse. [8D]

Well, it seems we made it through another day. Two more to go. What's the plans for this weekend?

Supposed to warm up and rain here.

When you thinking about making the move?

We'd intend to move this summer.

And the wedding is in the summer too? [sm=icon_smile_faint.gif]

Say, did I see some popcorn around here?

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (1/2/2008 9:13:17 PM)

Yes indeed. It's supposed to go in the microwave, but I think we can just throw it on top of the wood burner. On the package it says "heat this side up", so it must be OK.

That should do the trick! Save some for me, I'll have it for breakfast.

That sounds like a lot of work. Let me know if you need the services of a bulldozer.

A bulldozer? Whaddya think I have horses for? You make a rope harness and hook em up to it and yell, "giddy up."

Next spring I'm using them to pull down the old barn--if they don't kick it down by then. If the price of hay keeps going up I may trade them in for a John Deere riding mower... or a 4wheeler...or a garage with a wood-burning stove.

No, the wedding is in March. Hopefully I will have recuped enough by the summer to do a move[:)].

The price of hey for that keeps going up too. At least with the horses you have a reusable byproduct.

Glad to hear that.

What does hay cost out your way? I think it went up to $2.00 per bale for a small square bale last summer. We produce our own for our horses.

I got to back to Alaska for a few days last summer. One of my brother in laws still lives there. They have three horses and are paying $10.00 per bale for small squares. They have to fight off moose that come in and eat the hay.

Morning guys!

I've got the pot of coffee on, brought in a bag of donuts, and there's Spicy V-8 in the cooler. The fire is roaring in the stove and the newspaper is on the table. Y'all enjoy. It's Friday!

As in We Make History?

A friend of mine grew up in Fairfax County VA (not far from Arlington). He's quite the history buff. [;)]

Mornin' Denny. Fridays are always the morning after band practice. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep...as usual. [sm=icon_smile_sleepy.gif] Needless to say I'm draggin' hind quarters.

Ionly lived there the first 42 years of my life; extreme SW corner and Lansing.

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (1/4/2008 1:26:32 PM)

We've been down here in the Southeast corner for coming up on 22 years now.

DaveW -> RE: The Garage-come on in (1/4/2008 2:46:36 PM)

You mean the Detroit area?

We tried to sell Detroit to Canada back in the 70s but we didn't have enough $$$ to pay them off. We then wanted to haul it out and sink it in Lake Erie, but it was already too polluted.....[:)][:)][:)]
